Gold and Stone, in Questing for Camelot
#17
"Tiring," Aang stated. That was the biggest ordeal with summoning something so large. "I can't say I outright like it... It feels like any rogue thought and I could create something... horribly wrong. Physically, it feels like... like when I took the Fire Lord's Firebending..." A cold creeping sensation ran down his spine. "Like I was reaching into their souls."

For a moment he just stared off into space. "I suppose... maybe its because we don't have quite enough Omnilium yet? I mean... I can mimic your uh... hands..." he offered an apologetic expression, having once again forgotten the name. "But like you, I can't expand my reach... We both focused on manifesting them first, but... not about controlling at a reach. Even when I airbend, I just throw them... like a curve ball, sort of." Meaning they arced on a natural path, without his influence.

"Maybe all we need to do is think about just controlling things at a distance?" Aang lifts the stone glove he had brought along. It drifts towards Chakravartin. Sadly, it would not reach him before it fell flat onto the padded saddle. "Instead of trying to push it out... we should start with... pulling it back?" It was not much different in concept, but the way he thought about it made it leagues different. "Try it. Let your hand fall out of range, then... try to pick it back up."
