Gold and Stone, in Questing for Camelot
#12
Chakravartin shook his head, following along. When Aang really tried, he was a dynamo. Shooting through the forest at high speed, a harsh wind both following in his wake and pushing him along. Chakravartin was fast as well, however, he had to resort to darting up the trees and leaping from branch to branch to even keep Aang in sight. It felt good to be in the trees- the humans had called his host a monkey, when he first began his attack on Earth, and the moniker wasn't ill-fitting.

The trees around the meadow weren't very fruitful, producing more hard nuts than anything sweet. The twin Palace Hands collected them anyway, darting back and forth between him and the branches. He was somewhat confused by the purpose of the excercise. His Palace Hands stubbornly refused to push the limits of his range. If even a finger tip extended more than a few inches from the comfortable range, he could feel the tingle of cohesion threatening to break.

All the same, he continued his acrobatic swinging through the trees, gathering nuts and what fruit he could find, before making his way back to the meadow, arms full of potentially-edible rations.

If Aang had him beat, he wouldn't mind. They could always make their own food if the stuff they found in the wild wasn't palatable.
