"Fine, fine." he said, still amused at the lemur's reaction. He pulled- and all four Palace Hands retreated to him, grabbing onto his own body, and melting into his skin. The return of his biomass filled a hole he didn't realize he had been missing. There was no longer any threat.
"Aang, earlier you said you wanted to rest, no?" Chakravartin looked to Lysandra, "Is the Nexus safe, more or less? Or should we try to get to one of the Gates before we sleep?"
She paused at the word safe, looking between the two of them. "I think... we'll be safe as long as the two of you are here. In the Nexus, two Primes together is something most people try to stay away from." she looked at the pure white ground, flat, and hard. It'd be like trying to sleep on a perfectly smooth sheet of plastic. "But I think we should try to get to a gate soon. There are usually a lot of inns right on the inside of every gate." Momo took her momo-ntary distraction as his chance to escape, and he flapped high in the sky, before once again taking shelter by Aang. Without the furious chittering, this time. "Darn it." she said, "Come here Momo, come here, I have something for you." she said, reaching into her pack, and shuffling about for something to give the lemur. Instantly forgive, Momo returned to the girl, very interested.
Chakravartin was interested now as well.
She pulled a peach from her bag, and pulled the skin apart, ripping a bit of the fruit out to give to Momo- who jumped back at a furious bell-like gurgling sound emanated from Chakravartin.
That was right... he hadn't eaten in- centuries, perhaps? Certainly not in this body.
He had been watching from Sun Wu Kong's memories, before Chakravartin conquered his mental body and stole his physical one, and had only remembered the child eating perhaps two times in the few days between the point where he had been born by the stone his previous incarnation and his other seven parents had bequeathed their blood to, and getting bodyjacked by Chakravartin.
He was hungry.
And that peach looked delicious.
It was only by Lysandra's nervous repeating of "Teeth. Very teeth. Teeth." that he realized he had grabbed the fruit out of her hand with his mouth, his fangs sinking deep into the fruit.
He swallowed the rest of it whole, and had the sense to say, "Excuse me. I think I was hungrier than I... realized." he didn't exactly blush with embarrassment, but it was a close thing.
"I'll... replace it, if you want me to." he offered, making a little bit of the shining Omnilium appear at his finger tips.
"N-no need, I uh, you c-can have the rest if you- uh, want it."
"He'll be fine." Aang said, looking pointedly at Chakravartin, "And he'll apologize, won't he?"
"I offered to make her another to pay her back."
"For scaring her."
"I suppose I do regret that." Chakravartin said.
The two others waited for the rest, before Aang sighed, deciding that was probably as much of an apology as they were going to get. Momo was busying himself licking the bit of peach juice that had landed on the ground when the Saru had bit it.
