Character name:
Bobby "Baby" Worthing

Character source:
Original

Character history:
Once upon a time in a land not far away at all from you and I, there lived a boy. A 28 year old boy. He never really developed in regards to maturity, and thanks to mollycoddling from his mother, he never really became anything but a manchild, incapable of looking after himself. The majority of his time was spent playing with his collection of cuddly toys, with which he was absolutely obsessed, treating each one as if they were real and sentient. Needless to say, Bobby never really got out much and was entirely dependent on his mother, sheltered from the world and all of it's cruelties. In fact, the only person he ever really had any kind of interaction with was his mother, not venturing outside to make friends, do his own shopping or get mugged by the friendly locals. However, without warning he was one day plucked from this pathetic state by a mysterious being known as Omni...

Physical Description: (originals only)

Bobby is a slightly younger, skinnier and significantly less hairy version of the man you see above (physically). Standing at 5'6" and weighing barely over a hundred pounds, he can usually be seen in blue jeans and a variety of cat or hug related t-shirts (his favourite being of a cartoon cactus looking sad because nobody will hug it, for it's resemblance to his cuddly toy 'Cuddles The Cactus'). His most recognisable trait isn't actually anything to do with him; In the omniverse, he will be surrounded by his collection of plushies and his pet rock 'Sylvester', all of whom follow him everywhere. He has three favourites, the rest are generic animal plushies.

Major Plushies
(At first only Reginald will be with him, the rest will be introduced shortly after)

Reginald; A teddy bear standing about a foot tall, he is easily distinguished from other teddy bears by his ever-present top hat and monocle, as well as a distinctly gentrified English accent. Despite his upper class origins, he has a distinct hatred of fox hunting. He tends to be sensible, or at least as sensible as you can be in the company he keeps. He can become somewhat exasperated at Bobby's impulsiveness, but feels duty-bound to protect his master/friend to the best of his ability.

Cuddles; A plushie cactus, complete with soft flower pot, fake soil, googly eyes and a smile. Without legs, he primarily moves by hopping around, bending near the base of his torso and springing up to cause movement. He is extremely affectionate and, much like Bobby, doesn't understand why everyone can't just get along. Whilst Bobby hasn't had Cuddles for as long as Reginald, Cuddles is probably his favourite due to his personality mirroring Bobby's, though Bobby is unlikely to ever let Reginald know that. Cuddles meets the world every day with an optimistic outlook and an adorably high-pitched voice.

Sylvester; Sylvester isn't a cuddly toy at all. He is a pet rock that one day Bobby 'adopted' from his garden, on the grounds that just because someone isn't soft, that doesn't mean they don't deserve friendship. He is simply a rock, roughly the size of a video game controller, with a smiley face painted on it in black. Unlike the rest of Bobby's entourage, he is incapable of speech, merely following Bobby around. Clearly this shows Sylvester is at least loyal, but without speech or body language, it is near impossible to determine his personality or what goes through his mind.

Stats: (initial roleplay stats in brackets)

SPD: 2 (2)
TEC: 4 (1)

Starting Proficiencies: (2600)
Ranged proficiency (1000)
Remote control proficiency (600)
Debuff proficiency (1000)

Starting Powers: (1300)
Basic regeneration (1300)

Starting Moves: (900)

Cuddly Toss (300)

(Ranged Proficiency)

Bobby will repeatedly hurl his cuddly toys at whoever it is he wishes to attack, up to 20 feet but with decreasing accuracy the farther away the target is. His toys will literally queue up to be thrown before returning to him so the move can be used rapidly, but 9/10 of the time this will be extremely weak as everything bar Sylvester is extremely soft, and Bobby refuses to discriminate against Sylvester for his weight and hardness so does not constantly just throw him, the queue system meaning all of his group are treated equally with regards to this attack. This is both inaccurate and horrendously weak, more likely to annoy than hurt in most instances. However, any increase in attack stat will raise the damage proportionally (though it will still be weaker than the attack stat would suggest) by having the cuddly toys equipped with accessories to make them harder, with things such as crash helmets or armour.

Cuddly Charge (600)
(Ranged proficiency, remote control proficiency, 2nd use has debuff proficiency)

Bobby will order his entourage to charge the opponent, with all within earshot running at normal human speed towards the enemy. This first variation of this attack will see the cuddly toys attempt to tackle and pummel the opponent with sheer force of numbers, despite none being particularly strong individually. Unless all of the toys are literally huddled around Bobby, this is impossible to use stealthily as Bobby has to issue the order verbally, and as their general, Bobby merely stands back and watches, not contributing himself to the attack. This is more damaging than cuddly toss (being moderately damaging if all of the toys manage to reach the opponent) as well as more accurate, but as none of his army are weighty, they are quite easy to bat away or send flying, giving the enemy respite. Fast opponents are also likely to evade the attack entirely, and any attempt at pincer attacks to try and get at least one toy to reach the opponent will be significantly weaker, literally normal attack strength divided by the number of toys who completed the attack. They will continue to attack unless ordered otherwise or if Bobby is unconscious or otherwise incapacitated. Bobby cannot move or act whilst the toys continue to attack.

The second variety of this move doesn't see the toys attempt to attack, but simply grab onto the opponent and try to impede their movement. Once they hold on, they no longer need Bobby's full attention and Bobby can attempt to escape whilst the opponent is slowed. The effect is not significant as once again, the toys do not weigh much, but it will usually take time to remove all 10 from themselves (Well, 9. Sylvester can't grab, but may try to trip the opponent. This should be considered part of the slowing effect and not particularly likely to happen, and if it does, inflicts no damage). Naturally, use of this move prevents the use of Cuddly Toss, the latter version for an extended period of time. Bobby can also not move or act at all whilst the toys are still attempting to get a hold of the opponent; he can only resume acting once either all the toys have grabbed on or if he orders the ones who are not yet on to abandon what they are doing. The less toys that are actually holding onto the opponent, the weaker the speed debuff.

Total OM spent; 4800

I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Rules of Conduct.

Where did you find us? I'll be honest, I can't remember. A while back I made a character, I think it was called David Stephenson? Anyway, I ended up not posting because I was scared of goofing up or accidentally breaking rules or messing up storylines if I joined one, that kinda thing. I just remembered the site from then and thought 'yeah, let's give it a go', this time making my character a lil less complex and more cartoony so writing should flow a lil easier.
