Yoshimitsu had been prepared for his new journey for a few hours. The gear he required was not physical, but mental. The time spent in Camelot was exciting but now it was time to move on from here. And not only that but he was given a mission to conduct. So this adventure wouldn't be for fun and tourism. The samurai who confused himself with a ninja sat alone in the room he had been staying in since he arrived. No bar scenes with his platoon. No jokes on bar maids. The Verse he was traveling to was something straight out of a horror movie. Literally. From the reports he heard, the Pale Moors sounded like a mix of Dracula with Resident Evil. But the pop culture references were lost on the simple Camelot folk.
Rising from his bed, Yoshimitsu grabbed the pair of katana he carried with him everywhere. Fumaken to his left hip. Yoshimitsu to his back. The cursed sword needed to take a back seat. It constantly wanted blood and the last time he had used it he murdered innocent creatures. Well, innocence was still to be determined, they were giant crab monsters after all. But regardless, he needed to slow his roll and show prudence in who he struck down. Hopefully this quest would bring him face to face with people truly deserving his cursed blade's hunger.
The warrior left his room and with it all his little belongings he had collected so far. Down the stairs and out of the inn he had made his home. As he left the building, he turned and bowed to it, saying a quiet prayer to bless his home and rid of it the evil presence of his katana. The burden was his to carry and he needed to cleanse everything of the evil spirits left in his wake. Hopefully this mission would feed it to keep it sated for a while and he could rest without all the impulses to attack everyone around him.
His journey gave him time to think about the crowd this “tournament” could bring in. It was very likely he could meet some Primes. Since arriving in Omni's little play world he had yet to meet anyone like him. All these people were “Secondaries” and revered him as some powerful entity. He helped them grow in power and control more of their territory from the monsters surrounding Minas Tirith. So with a new Verse, Yoshimitsu was hoping he could find some allies. Or rivals. He loved a good challenging fight. Even if they didn't want to fight.
The scenery of the vast, expansive forests became dark and foreboding. The sun had a harder time piercing through the canopy with each step. The sounds of nature died. Spooky, right? Yoshimitsu walked carefully along the path that was outlined for him, leading him closer and closer to the next gate. By the time the shadows started looking like claws and silent, but glowing eyes staring from the trees, Yoshimitsu was already bored. He didn't scare too easy. Instead he just puffed out his chest and marched on until he reached the darkened stone gate.
There was no sacred ritual. No tension. No anxiety. Yoshimitsu just examined the gate, looked deep into it and then walked into it. And like that Yoshimitsu left Camelot and entered a whole new world.
