"Apology accepted."
Truthfully Warren didn't forgive Cole for the remarks that he had made or the anger he possessed. For now, however, he had to play nice with the young Blue Lantern. After all the individual could be very useful to him down the line. It wasn't wise to alienate individuals who could prove to be useful to him, later on, should he come to need Cole.
"Just so you know, I'm not mocking the Blue Lanterns. While it is true your abilities work for you, one of the other reasons I am rejecting the ring is that I am not a good fit for Hope. Truthfully, I'm not going to mess around with the Emotional Spectrum at all because it is too likely to blow up quite literally in my face."
This was true. Should he make one wrong move with tampering with something like that, the chances of him getting beaten up by Storm Troopers again and being forced to do their bidding once more was very high. Due to such, Warren was not going to even allow himself to take the risks associated with attempting to use the Emotional Spectrum to power anything. Rage was not an emotion that he wanted to even begin associating himself with. If what he theorized mentally was true about the emotion it was volatile and explosive. Given the last explosion he'd been directly responsible for due to a mistake had led to his own pain, he didn't want to even try to cause another.
Hope was an emotion that required one to be Optimistic, and care for others. Given Warren wasn't optimistic, and didn't care for others much well such an emotion was out of the question for him. Will Power perhaps... no. He wasn't going to fool with the Emotional Spectrum at all because of the risks associated with such. The act of doing so was probably going to bring the ire of Palpatine down on him if he so much as attempted to create anything on Coruscant. Yet there had to be some information somewhere in this world that he could find. Hard Light Technology couldn't be that much of a pain to create surely. After all, he'd created his NFL-R and the Anticorian Cuff as well as a few other things, and had discovered the Sword of Conquest.
"And there is another reason as well. If I were to attempt to replicate your rings, and something went wrong I would probably get beat up by Storm Troopers for the mere attempt should there be any kind of explosion or anything. You now know why I am not trusting myself to base my designs off of your rings in truth. That and I'm not the type of guy to be an optimist, which is probably something required for Hope."
