I've had two recurring dreams lately which have been leaving me in a surreal mood. Mostly because it's my subconscious creating an environment where I can exist and then ripping it away when I wake up.
#1: I don't remember much about dream one, but I do remember emotions. It was mostly just terror. The only part I remember is the very end. That's because my alarm for work broke me out of it and my mind adapted, creating one of most horrifying screams I have ever heard.
SETUP: My alarm for work is this part of the movie Minority Report. I cut it and made it into a soundbyte for my phone, because it's jolting enough to get me up. https://youtu.be/xtXdKETotbc?t=1m53s
So what happened was my dream adapted to the noise and created this horrific scream of whatever was going on at the time and, while still dreaming it, I remember actually going to shut it off, and clicking on the flashlight by bed to try and turn it off (No idea why). Well it clicked on and I saw this Xeno looking monster screaming. Well I then reached for my phone and by that time I had snapped out of it enough where my mind connected the dots. Alarm = RUN From Movie = Get up for Work.
It sounds dumb, but I sat in my chair for a good 20 minutes mentally stunned as I woke up.
#2: The second dream I've had lately is more emotional. It involved family around me as part of main plot, but it had a beautiful brunette who apparently lived in a wind up snow globe that was extremely into me? I remember seeing her for the first time and she was absolutely gorgeous. I can't discern the purpose of the dream, but I remember being in a van and I'm trying to get her out of the globe, because I just want to see her again. I want to talk to her. She likes me. I want to marry this woman. My memory is spotty as to the plot, but the emotions that arise are dark and...maybe nihilist? Like a Vampire the Masquerade setting or something. It was odd. I just know that this woman was not the only one of her kind and then, in the dream, she just disappeared, and I remember desperately trying to find out who she was or how we can bring her back.
You ask why I wish for death before bed? Because my imagination is powerful. It did this to me in High School when I had a crush on a popular girl named Maggie. All my dreams ever did was put in her situations where she was around and my friend for years. I even had a dream about my grandmothers funeral and she was there to support me. I've been able to decipher that my subconscious doesn't hate me, per say. It's that it's trying desperately to defrag and compress the amount of stress my mind is under. So it uses the extremes of every emotion to try and jolt me.
Who knows. At this point as I type this I sound like a god damn idiot in my head.
