@Veritas: You can. At least, there's no rule against it.
Alternatively, as stated in the FAQ, as long as the thread is marked as a flashback, you can post it in the appropriate verse or in the astral verse if it's pre OV.
Just note that, if you're writing a diary, make sure you don't copy paste much from an actual post already in the OV. Or, if you do, quote it out, unless it's a short line of dialogue. So, if you make a diary, you'll need to be rewriting the post completely and generally just reflecting on it, rather copy pasting parts of the event.
