I feel like cutting down a part of the wall would draw too much attention however, and that we would lose the element of surprise. Flying or teleporting over the wall might still get some attention earlier than we'd like, but it would be less than knocking down a part of the palisade.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the squad guarding the gate is a cut above the other minions in the area, and if so the worst thing that could happen is that squad being able to regroup with the rest of them.
My thought was, two or three people who have the requisite abilities jump the wall, then everyone else joins the frontal attack. The two groups attack as close to the same time as they can manage, which should allow the wall group to catch them from the side.
After that, my thought was to push into the ruins, and try to use the terrain there to draw our enemies into bottlenecks, and thus limit their ability to leverage numbers against us. - Celestia
