Baby Steps
#52
Nyeseth shook his hand in an attempt to rid his hand of the saliva left by Guu. Nyeseth cringed as he looked at his hand, it felt unnatural, Guu’s mouth had no teeth, and a lot of saliva. He didn’t know whether she wanted him dead or just wanted to torture him. He sighed as he rubbed his hand down his shihakusho and returned to his usual idle position with his left hand resting on the handle of his Zanpakuto.

Desco and Guu had both pointed to the same gate, which made him slightly worried as it had been the same gate he had just come from. That stupid forest, home of muscly green men, and dinosaurs that had tried to eat him. Of course, in his own world, he would have simply passed through them, like a ghost. But here in this world, he was a physical entity for everything to see and touch.

‘Do you guys really want to go there?’ Nyeseth sighed as he looked towards the gate, remembering how he’d just made it out before the forest had consumed him. Guu turned to look at him, he cold, emotionless face sent a chill down his spine.
‘Fine! Fine… we’ll go…’ Nyeseth said quickly, as to avoid any more harassment from Guu.

‘Oh uh… Seraph, are you coming? Because if you are, you better be on your best behaviour... Or I will put you down.’ Nyeseth added as he picked Desco up and put her on his shoulders and began to head towards the gate.

His threat had sounded a bit harsh, but he had to be. Seraph was an Arrancar and although he hadn’t shown any evil intentions, he could be a threat. Nyeseth just couldn’t trust him right now. Neku had attacked simply because of him being a Soul Reaper, and if someone who doesn’t even know what a Soul reaper is could be so aggressive, then an Arrancar was certainly capable of the same actions as well. He had to be careful.
