"Well, if ya'll leavin' it up to me ..." Jim gave the monkey boy a quizzical glance, but he just shrugged his shoulders. "Don't rightly know all that much about the Omniverse, but I have made a little home out in the desert. Place called the Endless Dunes. Got some people out there I'd like to keep safe, now I think about it. Didn't see much dark chips or whatever it is we're huntin', but I guess I've been a bit busy to notice. Could be a good place to start, anyway. Even if the search comes up empty, at least I'll get some peace o' mind knowin' my friends ain't in any danger. Well, not from dark chips, anyway."
Raynor looked at the thin man. "And to sweeten the deal, desert means lotsa open air. Sky and sand for miles and miles. Reckon you'd get all the power you'd need."
His companion nodded his head thoughtfully. "That sounds good to me."
"All right then." Jim walked out of the room, his two new companions following him into the lobby.
His CMC-400 armour, standing rigid, hissed as he approached. The hatch cracked open and Raynor clambered inside. It closed atop him, clicking in place and granting the terran commander full access to its suite of features.
"Welcome back, commander," the adjutant cooed from within the armour. "You have come into possession of a device that I can interface with. Would you like me to connect?"
"Much appreciated," Jim said. It'd be handy to be able to hunt these dark chips with the aid of his marine suit. "Adjutant, track the closest route to the Endless Dunes from here. We've got some foragin' to do."
