Figurative Demon vs. Literal Demon [Con't]
#3
Fused. The word echoed in Bendy's mind as he recalled the old stories he had heard. There had only ever been one documented fusion: Asriel Dreemurr, prince of all monsters, had fused together with his dead... human... sibling... The realization struck him like a sack of bricks, although he wasn't sure if it really meant anything right now. "...You're the first human that fell in here, aren't ya?" he asked, flexing his fingers.

"I am," she replied as the dust collected. The ink monster froze as the dusty bodies of all the dead monsters gathered together in the hallway, their presence almost suffocating. "But it doesn't matter now. It will never matter. Once this world is destroyed, my name will be lost forever to the sands of time."

Oh, how far had she fallen-- from the hope of all monsters all the way down to their doombringer. If they were in any other situation, the demon would've been impressed by the sheer animosity of her destruction. However, Bendy was currently on the receiving end of this child's rampage, so any admiration he had for her promptly fizzled out.

"I may be broken, but I had hopes and dreams too," she said, clearing the area and rushing him. While he had managed to dodge her knife, she had landed a solid kick into his stomach, causing him to stumble back. Ink pumped from his mouth for a moment in a vomit-like motion, and when he stopped, he wiped the excess from his face in anger.

"Oh, as if I didn't have my hopes and dreams!" he shouted, hands on his hips. "As if I never had aspirations of my own!"

Enraged, he sped forward and nailed Chara's face with a large fist. He grinned, watching as she wavered backwards. "Good. Bad. Why should I try to be someone important?" she asked, staring him in the eyes. "Because one is but a pawn in their game." She glanced up at one of the windows and scowled, presumably in a rage against the heavens.

Bendy frowned, more out of pity than anything else-- he and this child, despite their different upbringings, were pretty similar. With a sigh, he pointed at her in a "listen up" gesture. "Why not? I was a pawn too. I used to entertain children on the two-dimensional plane. But my creator, Joey? He had other plans. I was never meant to exist in the 3D world; the only reason why I'm even here was to please the gods, whoever they were. He also brought my friend Boris to life... but Bo's dead now. A sacrifice. And then I realized that I might be next. I killed him." His voice grew more and more demented as he continued, his body enlarging to twice his size. "I defied my destiny! I defied THE GODS! THEY WILL BE THE NEXT TO GO ONCE THE HUMANS ARE GONE! I WILL NOT LET YOU DENY ME MY PURPOSE!"

With a demented laugh, he barreled forward, a one-monster stampede as he swiftly closed the distance between himself and the last obstacle. She rolled out of the way, but he turned on a dime, wrapping his fingers around her torso. He reared back, slamming his fists into one of the columns. The structural support broke into two pieces, but Chara had teleported out of his grip right before the impact. Predicting that the child would attack from behind him, he spun around to knock her away. She was there, but she glitched away and landed from above, plunging the knife deep into his inky body.

He howled in pain, melting into a puddle to pull himself free. The kid followed him wherever he went, launching sickle-shaped red beams at his form. It burned deeply, driving the demon to slither behind the broken pillar and reform himself. He needed something to catch the child off-guard, but what? He glanced over at the piece of the column that had fallen off, an idea forming in his head.

As Chara popped into view, she only had just enough time to see the broken column rolling towards her at max speed. Having no time to react, she was hit by the full force of the makeshift roadroller and was driven into the wall, the column shattering into dust from the sheer impact. The moment the dust cleared, Bendy was on top of her, launching punch after punch with no regard to his safety while she struggled to recover.
