Doctor Regal slowly looked around the room, surveying the gathered occupants. There was no dissent, or disagreement to his request. No one speaking up to voice their decision not to help, now that they'd gathered here in response to his call. He couldn't help but feel glad for that, minor as it was. He let out a short sigh of relief, closing his eyes. He only had a few seconds to dwell on the situation, however, before one of the assembled group spoke up. The one who was here by video conference. It was certainly a bit odd, but given the nature of things, that couldn't be helped.
He could only nod in agreement to the Inspector's words. "That is indeed a wise decision. Remaining in contact would be for the best." He briefly glanced over as a few more new arrivals slowly made their way in. At Jak's question, Regal merely frowned slightly. "I'm afraid I can't say, without being able to study this...Dark Eco personally. But if you've made the connection, I can hazard a very rough estimate that treating this spreading darkness of Nebula in a similar fashion would serve you well. It is highly dangerous." Turning aside, he slowly paced across the room, expression creased deeply in sudden thought. "...I am reminded of one last warning I should offer to all of you. The darkness and power that Nebula creates can have disastrous effects not only on those that use it, but on those who spend too long in its presence, and even on the environment around it. It can warp and twist even fundamental rules and laws of the world. Do not be surprised if certain things do not function the way you are accustomed to, when you enter one of Nebula's strongholds."
He turned back to the others, lifting a hand to adjust his monocle. "Again, I thank you all for responding to this call for help. If you have no further questions, then that is all that can be said, at this moment." He folded his arms behind his back, with a firm nod. "Pick up one of the Liberator Aides I have prepared on your way out. And for all that it is worth, I wish you all good luck in your hunting."
