A Final Boss Awakens!

He let out another chuckle. That unfamiliar rush was one that he hadn't experienced for a while (unless he could count when Desco emailed Guu and he felt all the strain and pressure and tension within his bones immediately relax and allowing him to slump against his chair out of the sheer fact that he was just so tired.) Each time he did, though, it was never enough. He wished he could live his life with that feeling forever in his gut. It was a fantastic fantasy, alright.

He did not let this show, though. Instead, he kept his shoulders slumped, his hands in his pockets, and his smile firmly plastered on his face as the group proceeded to the Palace. As they got closer, his smile began to widen. Anyone who was looking at him could tell that, somehow, his smile had changed despite it only increasing in size. He looked happier all of a sudden, a fact that was only exacerbated as the pink palace grew bigger and bigger in size as they drew closer and closer to it.

Meanwhile, though, he was using up the time they had left by striking up small-talk with Desco.

"so, desco," he said, "you said you're pals with guu, right? must have been quite an interesting encounter."

perhaps it would be smart to talk about stuff she's interested in, he thought to himself.
