Luci
#4
Stats, Powers and Abilities

ATK: 1
Luci is a normal young woman in many ways, and is not physically strong
DEF: 1
Luci cannot afford to get hit
SPD: 5
Luci is an anomaly of reality, and lives at a faster pace than most people. When she moves quickly, she tends to warp reality around her. This allows her to traverse long distances in short amounts of time for example, or assemble something complicated very quickly
TEC: 4
Luci is very quick with amazing reflexes and an artists eye. She also is an accomplished Astral traveler and telepath.

Powers

All of Luci's powers come from her innate connection to the Astral Realm.

Phasing Luci slips her body partially into the Astral Realm. To use her phasing power Luci has to hold her breath, and when she exhales she will again become solid. She is vulnerable to energy attacks while phasing.

Shapeshifting By simply imagining a different hair or eye color, Luci actualizes it, allowing her to create disguises very quickly. If she takes the time to spray herself with a coat of paint from her trusty magic spray can, Luci can take a completely different shape, even perfectly mimicking another person.

Acrobatic Think less kung-fu-backflips, more like surreal floating around. When Luci does a wall-run, for example, gravity seem to literally invert itself for Luci.

Burst Movement Visually, when Luci activates this power, the world appears to warp very strongly and she takes a single step in any direction and then seems to travel very far away instantly. In the description of the power, it says something like 'already speedy characters may APPEAR to be teleporting' and that is the case here. However, if they were an obstructions between Luci and he intended path, say a landmine or just a big hole, Luci would have to deal with the consequences of fully crossing through that place in space.

Super Speed Luci lives very closely to the Astral Realm. In the Astral Realm, time is elongated, and minutes in the real world can become hours in the Astral Realm. In this way Luci experiences reality at a much slower pace than most Omniversians. Luci has little effect on the world when she uses Super Speed. There is no gusts of winds, no centripetal force. At top speeds Luci appears to skip through reality.

Telepathy Luci taps into the Astral Realm mentally, reading the thoughts and feelings of those around her. WHEN INTERACTING WITH LUCI, PLAY THIS POWER AS MUCH OR AS LITTLE AS YOU WOULD LIKE. If you want to play it by the books, compare our TEC scores to see how much Luci would get out of your character. But otherwise, as much or as little as you would like.

Moves

Luci's Moves mostly represent things she's paints with her magic spraycan. I like to give the impression that Luci can paint a solution to any problem, which is why some of these moves seem weirdly specific to certain situations.
A Real Gun (300) (Requirements: Ranged Proficiency)

This a real gun, specifically a Mark XIX Desert Eagle in .50 Action Express. It is not a magic dream gun, it is a real gun that shoots real bullets. Luci cannot magically make it disappear, she keeps that thang on her. It holds seven rounds, and Luci keeps a single extra clip in her backpack or bra. Luci can fire up to fourteen bullets in a single encounter (changing her clip once; it takes Luci less than a second to change clips). After that it will take her time to summon more ammo out of Omnillium, and she must be out of combat to do that. Although Luci has high SPD, she can only fire this large handgun once per second with any hope of accuracy. It has range of 100 feet.

Paint a Bomb-300 OM- (Requirements: Area Attack Proficiency)- Luci uses her spray can to paint a cartoony icon of a bomb on the ground or wall. It takes Luci three seconds, is about a foot in diameter, and is active when Luci steps away from it. The next person (sentient creature with enough OM to count as a Prim or Secondary) to walk within three feet of the painting activates a moderate concussive blast 10 feet wide. Because the bomb has to be planted, this move has less utility than a standard projectile, so it has a larger area of affect. Luci can only have one Bomb at a time; if she paints a new one, the old one fades away instantly. They also fade after a day. The bomb can be set off by the activation of a Power or Move in its proximity; the bomb falsely registers a 'person'. Also, to the those in the know, it can be defused by simply tossing some water on it.

Paint a Door-300 OM- (Requirements: Phasing)- Luci paints a door (or just a doorknob if she's in a hurry) on a wall that she can open. The door leads to whatever is directly on the other side of the wall. She cannot use this power on walls that are thicker than one foot. She can take other people through these doors, and when she closes them, the wall seals behind her, the picture of the door remaining. It takes Luci two seconds to make a door.

Paint a Rope-300 OM- (Requirements: Ranged Proficiency)- Luci paints a long (15ft) golden rope she can use as a grappling hook. She can make the rope retract or extend at will quickly, about a second. If the rope is fully 'retracted' it disappears. She can do this instantly, while moving. She cannot use this rope directly for combat; for example stealing an opponents weapon.

Graffiti Jaunt 300 OM (Reuirements: Phasing, Shapeshifting)

Luci phases into a wall, but instead of exiting on the other side, she appears on the wall as a graffiti picture, entering ‘the Graffiti Plane’.

While in the Graffiti Plane, Luci can move but cannot affect the world around her, she can only affect things in the two dimensional graffiti plane. She appears to run from wall to wall, and if she wants to move between buildings she has to jump through empty space to do it. Luci is exactly as vulnerable in the Graffiti Realm as she is normally; for example if Luci is on a brick wall and is stabbed, she will bleed even if the wall is undamaged. It’s takes basically no time to enter or exit the Graffiti Plane. It does not drain Luci’s energy to enter or exit the Graffiti Plane, or to stay in it.

While in the Graffiti Plane, Luci cannot use Superspeed or Burst Movement, but she can run at her normal top speed without becoming tired.

Klowdy’s Plan-Requirments (Phasing, Buff Proficiency)-Cost 300 OM

Luci temporarily applies her phasing power to an entire vehicle.

This move can be activated when (and only when) Luci is driving or is a passenger in a vehicle intended for personal use. This move can be activated when (and only when) there are UP TO six people including Luci in the vehicle.

Luci holds her breath and concentrates completely on the move. Over a period of about five seconds, Luci and all her companions and the vehicle she is in become Intangible, and treated as though affected by the Phasing power, with the exception the vehicle interacts normally with the road (although not road hazards).

This move can be active a total of ten seconds.

This move is extremely draining to Luci. If she is near fatigue, this move will cause unconsciousness for up to ten minutes. Either way, Luci cannot use her phasing power for at least an hour after using this move, and can only use this move once per day.

Some vehicles that would NOT be affected by this power are 18-wheelers, tanks, trains, helicopters, and generally anything too stupid.

Paint a Face- 0 OM- Shapeshifting, Buff Proficiency

Luci spends a full minute coating a single person head to toe with paint from her magic spraycan. After the fumes settle, that character appears to have shapeshifted into another person. These effects are identical to those produce by the Shapshifting power, except that this individual CANNOT shift into any other form while this move is active. This move lasts a number of hours equal to Luci's TEC score (currently 3), or until the subject chooses to dismiss it.

This is a thematic move, it is not intended to provide any bonus in combat.

Graffiti Vandal (0 OM) Requires access to the Graffiti Plane.

Just as the Data Verse has hackers, who can intercept, corrupt, or delete messages and data, the Graffiti Plane has Vandals. A Vandal is someone with enough understanding of the surreal mechanics of the Graffiti Plane that they can manipulate it against other Graffiti Plane users.

Luci is an excellent Vandal. She can intercept or destroy messages from rival gangs, encrypt her own messages, and other feats based around this concept.

Characters with Spiritual Enlightenment or Spiritual Attunement, characters with Telepathy, and characters with high TEC scores all make good Graffiti Vandals.

This is intended as a fluff move.

Super Moves
Paint a Phoenix-Tier 1 Offensive Supermove-600 OM- (Requirements: Ranged Proficiency, Area Attack Proficiency)

Luci stands still and puts a lighter in front of her spraycan, creating a magnificent scarlet-gold phoenix that charges and eventually explodes in a fifteen-foot diameter fireball when it hits. It takes her five full seconds of uninterrupted spraying, after which she aims and releases her attack. The phoenix explodes on contact or when it reaches the end of it's range, 80 feet. 'Paint a Phoenix' deals less damage than other similar Teir-1 moves because of its wide area.

This costs 1 SP.

Hyper Blink-Tier 1 Defensive Supermove-(600 OM)
(Requirements: Burst Movement, Phasing)

Luci blinks her eyes. In the time it takes to finish blinking, Luci walks one hundred feet in any direction.

Luci is moving so fast that to her, time seems nearly frozen. However, she cannot affect the world around her. Luci cannot take any action other than walking, climbing, jumping, and other ways of moving herself. She can use no moves or attacks or powers except for Phasing. She cannot move objects other than herself and the objects she is already in possesion of at the time she starts Hyper Blink. She cannot open doors, or push a bullet out of the way, or stab someone, or even press a button. While Hyper Blink is active, Luci cannot affect the world around her.

At the end of this move, Luci is moving at her normal top Speed.

This costs 1 SP.

Quantum Blink-Tier 2 Defensive Supermove-(800 OM) (Requirements- Superspeed, Burst Movement, Phasing)

Luci blinks her eyes. In the time it takes to finish blinking, Luci walks up to two hundred feet in any direction.

Although time may appear frozen, Luci is actually just moving at very high speeds. Teir-3 Supermoves and stronger can still connect and do damage to her.

At the end of this move, Luci is moving at her normal top Speed.

This move costs 2 SP.
Combat Tactics
As you may have noticed, Luci is not built for combat. Luci responds to almost all conflict by running away. She uses her lightning speed and phasing ability to slip through buildings and crowds, and her grappling-hook and acrobatic skills to get to hard-to-follow places. If she can slip into a crowd, she will shapechange to disguise her appearance.

Items and Unlocks
Luci has twice unlocked 'Increased street cred with criminal underworld'

Communicator-  Luci’s Communicator is her Graffiti that she sprays all over Coruscant. Luci paints or writes a message and a destination (either a person or place she has connected with in person or in the Astral Realm), and the message disappears into the and reappears where she sends it, with some minor delays. Sometimes this is represented by an animal messenger who delivers a message orally, sometimes it is just written words.

Sending and receiving messages through Graffiti has risks, just like sending messages through the Dataverse or Astral Realm. Just as those messages can be hacked or intercepted, so too can Graffiti messages. Luci is not the only one who uses Graffiti to communicate; other criminals in Coruscant take advantage of the covert communications network.

This is an Astral Realm based and Telepathy based Communicator.

Mobile Dataverse Device- Linked to her cellphone

Spiritual Attunement Luci lives very close to the Astral Realm, and visits it often
