Scarred By Insanity

That boom was more than enough to get Dawn going. A plate moved again and it was going to way more than drop some rocks. She kicked the demon in the face and flew off for an opening in the volcano’s side. In a few seconds those caves would be filled with lava. Kage followed suit, chasing after her enemy and equally scared of the fiery death behind her. The two flew into the cave as fast as possible.

BOOM

The entire cave shook and crumbled around them. The explosion threw them both off balance midair. Dawn recovered quickly and began to fly again. Kage on the other hand was not so smooth, she crashed but was still able to get airborne in time. Lava poured into cave behind them.

“Holy shit!” Dawn screamed pushing herself to fly faster. “I have enough burn scars dammit!!!”

Get back here! Kage yelled reaching her hand out to grab onto Dawn. Her larger size helped her catch up to Dawn.

“Get away from me you psycho!”

No! I'm not done with you!

“Fuck you find your own body!!” She screamed back.

I just did! Kage’s claws dug into Dawn’s ankle and black phasing aura wrapped around her body.

“Damn you! I'm going to fucking kill you!” She screamed focusing on the upcoming exit as lava barreled toward her at her feet. The black aura choked her muscles as it enveloped her body. The vigilante screamed in pain as the aura stabbed at her nerves. As she flew out of the exit the air being pushed forward threw her off balance. She spiraled out of control and crashed into the ground. As soon as her body met the dusty ground she sprawled around in spasms.

“Gah! Faauugghh! Fuck!” Her bloody screams echoed through the Ashen Steppes as the helpless girl's body was taken over. “No! Damn you! You can't have my mind again! Leave, me, ALONE!”

The black energy exploded around her into a fire display of off putting light. The vigilante screamed as she tore at her hair and skin. After a minute long struggle of holding her sanity together, the light dissipated and she collapsed in the dirt breathing heavily. “Fucking...bitch…” She wheezed, but no one said anything.

“Demonic cunt sack..I swear I'll kill you slowly then when I die and go to hell, I'm going to kill you over and over again.” Still no reply. Dawn was starting to realize maybe she had beat her.

“Hello? Kagetsume?” Silence. The overjoyed vigilante slowly stood up in victory. With a slight limp she turned away from the volcano covered in blood, burns and bare skin. Time to go home and get a good sleep for once in her miserable life.
