The new servants from the asscrack of the Underverse’s fiery rectum were a lot squishier than they appeared to be. A few shots from Dawn’s rifle put them back where they belonged. Though to make up for that fact, their numbers bolstered with each one the vigilante killed. Kage spent some time collecting herself after nearly being burned alive. Luckily she had the time as her opponent was too busy dealing with the demonic minions.

Wasting ammo more like. This was Kage’s plan and Dawnika saw right through it. It was time to add some new firepower to her arsenal. She flew off and landed back on the solid rocky ground where she could focus on a new summons. It took a few seconds, but soon a sword formed in her hand and sheathe for it on her back around her waist. An old looking katana that appears it has been poorly taken care of. The blade hasn’t been sharpened in a long time, making it jagged and serrated one way or another. Just as it spawned in her hand, she grasped the hilt with both hands and sliced through demonspawn as they charged her way. Now she had a backup situation weapon in case she ran out of bullets.

Demons charged the lone ranger in waves. Each coming at her like a tsunami of demonic rage. They cut at her with their demonic claws, but could hardly damage her. With great speed she sliced through them with ease.

“Butter, meet knife.” She said as she cut through them. Kage had finally caught up though, she jumped through the waves of demons and in front of Dawn. With claws at the ready, the two dueled it out. Dawn’s blade tore through the demon’s skin, black blood rolled down her body. Kage’s claws tore through Dawn’s body less often but blood covered her clothes making the once white skirt now crimson red. The crop top and thin breastplate she was wearing got lost somewhere in the fight, amazingly Dawn had not even noticed that they had disappeared. Blood covered the ground between them as Kage and Dawn separated to catch their breath.

Why don’t you just quit! You can’t win! Kage said through her heavy breathing. She was completely irritated from being thrown into lava.

“You only lose when you admit defeat! Die!” The vigilante charged head first at Kage who was slightly caught of guard and was unable to dodge. The sword pierced through her stomach passing through completely. In retaliation, Kage dug her claws into Dawn’s back. The vigilante coughed blood on the demon painting her skin in red. With what strength she had left, the woman dug her blade through the demons side, opening the wound even more. With that she backed off again.

I-I’m finished with you! Die! The demon flew up into the sky raising her palms at Dawn who took stance to dodge or defend. Kuroi Senkou! She screamed as an electrical charged flashed over her arms and a beam of pure plasmic energy radiated into her palms. A pause in the charge happened where the blackness disappeared for a second, but then suddenly a large beam of black death charged it’s way through the air towards Dawn. The young girl was unable to evade the large attack. The ground cracked and disintegrated from the direct power of the attack. Soon the platform that held Kage’s altar slid down into the lava and Dawn was nowhere to be seen. Kagetsume chuckled to herself at first, which then turned into a maniacal laughter.

Petty human. She muttered to herself. You seriously thought you could beat me?

“You fucking bet you satanic shit stain!” The vigilante screamed from above her opponent’s head as she dive bombed toward the demon with her sword forward.

How did you survive that?! Dawn’s skin was searing steam and burned from the sheer heat of the beam. She dug her serrated blade into the demon’s arms. Tearing the tendons in the Kage’s forearms. As she was about to retaliate, a loud noise sounded.

BOOM

The entire volcano shook and the lava below splattered around them. Dawn merely uttered one statement.

“Oh, fuck.”
