Dawnika exited the oddly placed tavern. That Miranda figure was intriguing. Hopefully she would have a chance to work with her in the near future. First thing’s first though, she needs to get rid of Kagetsume.
It would not be easy to locate this cult’s hideout, but from the tidbits she collected on the dataverse there was a joining process where a member had to find the entrance to their lair. This was deeply hidden in a code that was supposed to be really hard to crack. It explained the cult’s rituals and progress throughout their years in the Omniverse. Though most would find it hard to catch on to quickly without reading it a few times, the clues were hidden in the text, not the stories. Every capital letter, when put together, spelled out words, in which directed the reader to the cults main temple. Those capital letters spelled out the sentence, “IF YOU WISH TO JOIN, COME TO THE LARGEST VOLCANO IN THE ASH.” Simple enough.
With that, Dawn found herself a map of the Ashen Steppes, or what cartographers had mapped so far, on her dataverse device. The largest volcano mapped was few miles away. It would be some walk but Dawn was ready to expel this demon.
It took maybe an hour or two, and trailing through basilisks and other forms of monstrosities, but she finally made it to the marked volcano. It was huge, and it looked active. While this was most certainly dangerous, if Dawn died she would just respawn in the Nexus later so it would hardly be a drawback. She looked for an entrance in the face of the volcano. A tunnel system seemed to be carved into the wall of rock a short climb up the eastern side. That had to be what she was looking for. The vigilante spread her demonic angel wings and flew up to the opening of the tunnels, landing in the cave. From here on, it was going to be even more heated.
