Interlude
#2
Continuing to walk forward, Morene's sensitive eardrums shook with the sounds of explosions and shrapnel, the ground gently shaking soon afterwards. Her gut sank, looking at the direction of the fountain.

Red mist began flying from some of the bodies on the floor, or at least as far as Morene could see. The huntress' heart sank. She had no idea what was going on, but she had hoped what Lex, the strange Empire soldier she had met a few hours ago was correct on his claims that Primes could come back from the dead.

If those even were Primes, that is.

Slowly, Morene watched as two figures left the scene, Lex popping back up in her memory again. The woman felt as if she forgot something, even though she couldn't help but feel as if the situation unfolding in front of the Fountain was slightly more important. Wanting to direct her attention to the more concerning sight of men and women dying in a brutal barrage of lead, Morene suddenly remembered Lex telling her of this 'Dataverse device' he wanted her to use to keep in contact with.

Looking down, she had to wonder, how?

In a pinch, Morene looked back up at the Fountain, shaking her head, jogging forward in hopes she'd get to somebody that was still alive there, but... At one point, she realized it was futile.

Shakily, the huntress sighed to herself, slowing back down. Looking at her gloved palms, she continued to think of Lex's advice, or at least the bit of it she could remember while the two of them were still in Coruscant.

Reaching back into her memory, Morene eventually remembered Lex saying something about being able to summon objects with this strange Omnilium energy granted to her. But again, the question remained.

How? She continued to ponder. Almost losing her footing looking down at her hands, the woman felt a very sudden urge to close her eyes and focus in, almost as if she saw something important.

Her temples strained slightly. She wasn't sure why, but... Her hands begun to shake. Morene asked herself what such a device would look like. A tablet of sorts, perhaps? Yes, a portable tablet of some sorts, that would be easy to carry around. Feeling even more tired than she was previously, Morene could feel something weighty within her hands. Her ears rung, and she felt a solid object form within her palms.

The woman's eyes were opened for a single femtosecond, and she already realized what was going on. She looked down, a faint glow of colorful energy forming what looked to be a portable tablet with a touch-screen on the front.

"Ohhh," Morene mumbled, "it's a second nature ability, of sorts..."

Figuring out that she now had a presumably expensive piece of technology in her hands, Morene quickly looked for a pocket big enough for the device. Looking back up as she opened a pouch that fit, the huntress saw as the two figures leaving the scene, the one whom fired those barrage of what looked to be bullets was already headed for a portal to leave the area.

She squinted, trying to figure out where he was headed exactly. There's no way she could completely ignore this situation. Wherever this person or thing was going, she'd have to follow.

As the daughter of the Fellon family told herself, 'twas her duty to protect, after all.
