Quote:The Open Shore --> Ozal's
The hours passed slowly as Dasha did her best to keep Kelp as healthy as she could. Melody hadn’t seen any sign of the witchdoctor, nor had anyone else she had happened to run into on her way back to the Open Shore. In the end she had simply had to do the best she could with the meager medical supplies that she had on hand. She was just grateful that the Imperi-Med booster seemed to be at least mitigating his symptoms, it had certainly not been cheap to get ahold of. She still had no idea what illness he even had, and although he seemed to be stabilizing, he was still extremely pale.
At least he’s breathing normally again... She thought, though it was a very poor consolation. She had to find Dellarosa, or at the very least someone who was more experienced with treating illness than she was. Dasha stood in the doorway, watching Kelp’s still form. There was nothing for it. She pounded her fist against the doorjamb and turned to go downstairs. From a business perspective this was the opposite of a good decision, The Open Shore didn’t have nearly the client loyalty that Ozal commanded amongst the inhabitants of the island. Dasha couldn’t really afford not to open this evening, let alone the fact that she would be seen visiting her rival’s place of business instead. She was sure that Ozal would capitalize on the moment to discredit her position further.
After making sure Kelp was as comfortable as possible, Dasha set off for the Ferengi’s bar. The night was a very peaceful one, and Dasha would have thought it was pretty if her thoughts were less tumultuous. As it was she practically ignored the idyllic starscape as she made her way determinedly to Ozal’s bar. She slowed her pace as she drew nearer, the lights and sounds of merriment were already audible, even from half a block away. With a set jaw and furrowed brow, Dasha entered Ozal’s bar.
If history is to become legend, it first must be recorded.
