Okay, here's the damage calculations. I'm basing it on that you were both in peak condition when the battle started.

Hiro 1-3 are Hiro's first to third fight posts, same for Sage 1-3. Sage final is the post that concluded the battle and knocked Hiro out.
I'll also jot down a wrap-up.

Hiro

-Knee slam [1], heel [1], step kick combo [1], cane to forearms [1], headbutt [3], cane to head [1] (Hiro 1) - 9

-Cane to ribs [1], cane to head [1] (Hiro 2) - 3


-Sword to leg [2], cane to forearm [1] (Sage 2) - 3

Hiro is left with 2/20 Hp! Near death and probably in for a lot of nasty bruises all over his body as well as pain once the adrenaline wears off, but he'll survive even without external help.
The repeated strikes to his head are probably going to give him headaches and dizziness for a while, and he's gonna need to replace those broken goggles and get the glass shards out of his face. But, thank Omnilium, he'll be able to make it out without any nasty scars to disfigure him.

 

Sage

Sage is left with 4/20 HP (coincidence, I swear!). While not near death quite yet he's going to suffer a great deal of pain to his torso especially, but also his jaw and leg, once the adrenaline ebbs away. The torso is the place hit worst, especially his lungs are going to need treatment if he doesn't want to bleed out slow and painfully. His dueling cane is broken in half and one of his teeth is broken, and unless he picks up that book that he dropped on his way out he's gonna need to replace that too. Finally, his clothes are fairly damaged from the sword slashes but they still offer some protection from the elements and indecent exposure.
