Taking out the book, Veritas quickly read through the pages.
"The journey isn't so much dangerous, as is the destination. The island is rumored to possess golems on it that take a few good hits before they can break, large quantities of Golems. The book says that if we disturb the resting spots of the fallen on the island, the golems will activate. Furthermore it appears to have several ancient shrines, temples, fortresses and vaults. I assume such places may hold traps, most likely. The island also has... apparently a lot of treasure on it. The treasures of the island could be worth investigating. A footnote in the book says that the island has a sword that can double as a blaster, but I'll believe that when I see it."
A pause was done by the supervillain, as he listened to Celestia compliment his skills at inventing. A smile formed on his face, which was rare for him because normally he was not happy.
"What's this? The island appears to also have an old and broken suit of powered armor hidden somewhere on it? If I could find that, and get the armor operational, I could power myself up and simulate some of the abilities I had when I was bionic."
