Celestia was pleased with Veritas' decision. Not that there was really a wrong answer to the question, both approaches would achieve their current goal and both would provide some valuable training. “I'm glad,” she replied, smiling, “I have the utmost confidence in your ability to construct things, I am pleased to see you are willing to try new things.” It was a positive sign that Veritas was willing to attempt communication, given that his attitude up until now had been very anti-social. That he was willing to try it at all seemed something of a minor miracle, from what little Celestia had seen of him. He had warmed up to Celestia easily enough of course, but while certainly better than the alternative, it did not mean one was well adjusted overall.
Of course, Veritas wasn't fully open to the idea yet. He idly gripped his weapon summoning device, and mentioned he would bring consequences should anyone in this process double cross them. Celestia wasn't quite willing to call him out on it, as she generally had no issue with a person ensuring their own safety but she did think he was taking an awfully aggressive approach to it. Celestia nodded. “Due caution is always worth considering. However, also keep in mind that paranoia when there are no threats can be just as dangerous as the enemies you wish to guard against.” Then she smiled softly. “We've new arrivals, who have made no enemies, in a civilized land. What's more, I hear beings such as us are considered quite dangerous. I am confident that we need not worry about betrayal. It would take someone very fooling to risk so much for so little.”
Celestia turned, and began walking into the harbour. She had a few ideas about where to seek out prospective captains, but that seemed pointless to her without a sense of what sort of vessel they should search for. “Tell me about this island we're going to visit. How far away is it? How dangerous is the journey? Even if, as primes, we won't have to worry about the ship's supplies, I expect that to factor in to who might or might not be willing to take us on.” Veritas was the one who had found the book and chosen the island, Celestia would thus rely on him for details surrounding it as much as she could.
