As Chara looked at the barrel of the shotgun she started to grin, having one last trick up her sleeve. "So you want to checkmate me? don't you know its bad form to tell someone checkmate?" At that point she glitches away to the farthest she can go and holds her knife in front of her before it turns green and right after it goes up she hears the crack of a shotgun, and sees the shield absorb the hit.
Claptrap could see the kid, and he looked up at the celling of the cave a plan forming in its head. "well kid, why would I care about bad form I only have good form!" Claptrap pointed his shotgun at her and fires once, luckly for him the shield dissipated so she moved away quickly. He then calculated where she was going to be at and aimed in that general vicinity and fired the rest of the clips in the shot gun. The celling started to crack and pieces started to break off, hitting the ground around Chara and one crashed right next to Claptrap.
Chara turned to claptrap and started to run, jumped off a piece of ice and glitched using the momentum to crash into Claptrap. Chara held up her knife ready to stab the eye; before she felt claptraps arm throw her off with some difficulty. Chara got up and ran again at claptrap, who at this point had gotten up, and started to fire as fast as he could. Chara dodged most of them one got her shoulder by sheer luck, she could feel the burning sensasion of the wound but continued to run for Claptrap.
Chara finally reached him and aimed for the arms every so often getting a good hit on one of the arms. She jumped back a foot before throwing her knife at the eye socket hoping to blind him; though she did keep a spare knife it was nothing like the primary knife. She landed on her feet to see the damage done right after pulling the spare out, and getting into a defensive position.
