The beginning of the End (Artefact Battle) (PvP)
#14
Thor had been sad to see his companion leave him once more, but he had understood the frustration. His friend was infected with a cancerous magic and it would waste away at him if he did not find some way to rejuvenate. Thor knew the rites of such a journey. If the magic to save him was in this world, it would be found by him alone. So Thor the thunderer said goodbye to his companion.

His only friend in this strange world now gone, Thor sought the power to bring into existence the friends of his old world. It was the right place to learn the intricate rules of the Omniverse and the many powers of Omnilium. He eventually learned to summon his trusted compatriots, the Warriors Three, but learned more than that as well. The Wizards of Camelot taught him that here, in the Omniverse, The only limits were time and Omnillium, and in the Omniverse even time is controllable with enough Omnilium. The Wizards taught him that his powers were not bound the way they once were. They were not bound to his hammer, but to himself. They showed him the steps, not just to summoning objects and people but, to summoning power and abilities. With this he regained the powerful self-healing of Asgardians, which he felt lacking in himself in every fight, as well as his power over the storms.

He then decided to test his new found strength on the skies of the other verses. And so with new skill, and his trusted warriors three, the once Prince of Asgard went off to take the skies of the verses. All was going well until he decided he was ready to take on the only sky to ever slay him. The Vasty Deep. One boat ride into the eye of a storm latter and Thor found himself swimming up out of the nexus fountain.

“Buy my father’s beard!” He cursed. “Why can I not master the blasted seas of this place!” He looked around. The warriors three were gone. He did not panic. The wizards had warned him of this. All he had to do was re-summon them. He was about to begin when something in the shapes around the fountain caught his attention. The shapes were blurry, thanks to the death shroud, but it was obvious they were in a fight. Then he saw what caught his eye. A figure with a red head holding a sword pulsing with energy. Even through the death shroud it was impossible to mistake the power of that sword. It was an artifact and the figure holding it was Red-Hood. Red-Hood was in a fight and his only comrade had just come out of the fountain! It couldn’t be a coincidence. Thor was meant fight in this battle, and he never turned down a fight! But first he had to break the veil that was separating him from the rest of the living. He had gained so much from his time with the wizards. He really must repay them some day. He remembered what the wizards had taught him about focusing. The veil lifted. The battle was in front of him and the weakness of death overtook him. This was not a good time to lose his strength. Hopefully he would recover in time to be of help. For now he would do what he could. Luckily as the god of thunder, even in his weakened state he could still do quite a bit.

Thor watched an assailant bear down on Red. Something about the psychic warrior seemed familiar, but if he was attacking Red he was the enemy. Thor waited for enemy to leap away. He would run up and toss his hammer at the familiar fighter. Thor would have to play support for now, he did not have the strength to fight this battle head on. He saw the familiar fighter leap back from his comrade. Thor ran toward Red. Then he saw what the opponent was doing. Or rather, he felt it.

The wizards had taught Thor one more thing about being a prime. The Special Powers. Omnilium can be gained and used by anyone, primes just happen to have an easier time doing both. Special Powers, however, were something only Primes could use. They were a Prime’s trump card. A powerful attack, a transformation into something stronger, in rare cases they even summoned others into existence to serve them. That, Thor had discovered, is what his lightning was. He could tell that this is what the weapon the boy had brought into existence was. He needed to stop him.

Thor raised his hammer to the sky as he ran. The storm rose with his hammer. He stuck himself between Red and the familiar fighter. Lightning corsed down into the hammer. Into him. He lowered his hammer at the psychic arrow racing toward him and fired. The arrow struck him in the gut. The lightning struck the psychic warrior. Thor dropped to one knee.

“Thor, what…?” Red-Hood was kneeling by his side. He could hear the concern in his voice.
“I will recover, my friend.” Thor said, spitting up just a little blood. “I hit the enemy but I was aiming for his arrow…” The arrow vanished. Thor could see the blood fury rising in his friend. That might be what he needed in this fight. “Fight hard, give them one for me...”

Thor had let his words trail off and Red turned his anger to the enemies around him. Thor focused. The wound began to close. He would recover, but for now it was good for his friend to fight for vengeance. He lifted a potion to his lips. He would need a little extra power for this.
