"As you seem to need my help in order to keep yourself alive, we shall continue traveling together. But if we are to travel together I shall be teaching you dark magic. For you will not remain nearly useless in a battle where the odds are quite literally stacked against us. I shall also be enchanting your sword so that it is more lethal against opponents." The dark king was not one who liked bestowing gifts. But given what both of them had been through? King Sombra didn't want to be caught with his 'pants down' again. They had underestimated the Trolls and that had nearly been a critical mistake. In fact if he hadn't had his magic besides Nightmare Force? Chances are both of them were going to be dead. It was why he was going to teach Revan his techniques in magic and learn how to use a sword anew. As they walked past the trolls towards the gate the path seemed to go on forever. What he did know now was that Omni hadn't just weakened him. Without others, there was a very real chance that the dark king could die. Enough Adventures had been had in this place for one day.
Recovery was paramount before either of them could come here again. Under nominal circumstances, the tyrant of the Frozen North was not thee kind of pony who'd invite people to his strong-hold. However as Revan had proven himself extremely useful with that sword of his a reward of some sort was in order. There was also the other matter however. His body ached, and not a dull ache either. It was like someone had dipped rusty dull knives in boiling hot oil or magma and then pushed them into his body. In short? Without a miracle he was not going to be up to fighting anything else any time soon. Having Revan along was practical so that Revan could be the target. There was more to it than that, anyway. A King needed warriors or that was how Sombra rationalized it. When they arrived at the gate that led to a familiar location, the Vasty Deep where he had built himself a home on an island the dark king smiled wickedly.
They could visit his castle and he could commence Revan's lessons in the powers of darkness.
"So do you wish to be my student, Revan Noctis? If so, our lessons will begin the moment we get to my castle. I built one in the Vasty Deep because it is not so bucking cold there. It is a moderately temperate place, thank Faust. I have yet to put up defenses at my castle, but once I gain back enough of my power I will focus on that problem."
