Earthquake: Does this do damage or does it just rattle them? How draining is this to cast? Can this be used with other moves or does it take up all of her concentration?
Lava Plume: How far can the projectile be thrown? How draining are each of the forms? Can the various forms be used simultaneously with other moves or do they draw her complete attention? Can the large wall be cast while moving? That might be implied in the first use but since it’s another use I have to ask. Regarding the size of the first shield, 30x50 cm is pretty small, probably smaller than the average hand-held shield; is that okay with you? Also, can you give more definite numbers on how tall the larger shield is? I’m not exactly sure how tall Sabrina is so it’s good to have it spelled out. You might also mention how ‘deep’ these shields are as well.
Solar Beam: What are the dimensions and range of this? How damaging is it, roughly? Does she need to concentrate entirely on this or can she divide her attention and use other moves? Can this be maintained or it is a fire and forget? How draining is this on her stamina?
Crunch/Fire Fang: Approved.
Thunderbolt: How damaging is this, roughly? Is this an insta-cast or is there a charge up (hahaha) time? How fast does it move? What’s the range? Can this be used while moving? Does it take a lot of concentration? Can this be used in conjunction with other moves?
Thanks for the lookover! But damn I slacked off when writing most of those...
Also, Roxanne is an average human, I should probably have mentioned that. I'll add some specific numbers to Lava Plume about that!
The 30x50 shield is fine as is - I figured that for a half second charge Roxanne wouldn't be able to gather much molten rock to create a bigger shield, or if it was it would be too thin to offer much protection. It's intended to be an emergency shield against things like an incoming punch or projectile, which the shield would be big enough to barely cover if Roxanne lays behind it.
Also, what about Sunny Day? Is it okay as it is or does it need a revision as well? (leaving an un-edited version at the bottom of this post)
Here's the revised ones (changes are bolded):
Earthquake: Requires Physical Strength, Ranged Proficiency, Area Attack Proficiency – 300 OM
Roxanne amasses her strength by focusing for ca. 4 seconds during which she cannot move or act (this includes using other moves, dodging etc.) then slams her fists on the ground, usually accompanied by a fierce scream. The slam sends out a shockwave that causes a small-scale earthquake. Enemies in melee range of Roxanne are strongly shaken and will likely fall to the ground, but the quake rapidly loses energy the further it travels. Beyond 5m away it can barely be noticed. In either case opponents won't be damaged by the quake itself, outside of negligible bruises/cuts if they fall to the ground too hard. Because it is a ground-based attack it can be dodged by flying or jumping at the right time.
A sufficiently strong attack would be able to break Roxanne's concentration during the focusing, in which case she would need to start all over.
Lava Plume: Requires Ranged Proficiency, Area Shield Proficiency – 900 OM
Roxanne amasses her strength by focusing for ca. 2 seconds, during which she cannot move or act (this includes using other moves, dodging etc.). During that time several tiny blobs of molten rock glowing in various shades of red and orange appear above her, amassing into a small sphere that spans about 10cm. After the initial charge Roxanne can delay firing the sphere but is unable to move while doing so, and needs to expend a small amount of energy to keep the sphere hot. When she’s ready she launches the sphere forward. It travels in an arc and at the speed like a lobbed projectile as far as Roxanne can throw/launch an object of its size and weight - 60ish meters at most, though due to being physically thrown it is pretty inaccurate at the highest range. It bursts into hot lava when hitting something. The offensive use of Lava Plume is mildly taxing on Roxanne - using more than 2-3 in rapid succession will cause her to begin panting, and 14-15 without time for recovery will leave her extremely tired and dizzy.
Note: The lava doesn’t hinder the opponent and can be shrugged off, it just inflicts a burn when initially hitting someone.
Lava Plume can also be used to erect a shield to protect Roxanne. In this case she must focus for half a second, rushing to create a sphere for a relatively small amount of energy that she throws in front of herself. The molten rock hardens into a rocky structure fixed to the ground that can take a little punishment before breaking - though an emergency wall like this will be small, spanning barely 30cm length and 50cm up, and relatively thin - about as thick as a human index finger. Given more time, Roxanne can focus for up to 15 seconds (during which she is unable to move or use other moves, but she can ) to amass more molten rock and create a larger, thicker structure that provides more protection, at maximum creating a rock wall in a "U" shape that guards her front and sides and reaches slightly over her head at around 180cm high, and about 10cm thickness on average, though the base is a little thicker (~12cm) and the topmost part is a little thinner (~8cm) than that. The longer she takes the more taxing it is - even a single wall is very exhausting if fully charged (15s), two in a row would leave her close to passing out.
Solar Beam: Requires Ranged Proficiency – 300 OM
After focusing for ca. 7 seconds, during which she cannot move or act (this includes using other moves, dodging etc.), Roxanne fires a potent beam of solar energy from her palm (or maw, if in Pokemon form) that travels at bullet speed and causes a moderate amount of damage, but slightly less than an average move charged for such a duration. While it leaves a trail that makes it seem longer than it is the beam is rather "short" - Roxanne fires it for about half a second before it's expended.
Solar Beam doesn't drain Roxanne a lot: given the freedom to repeatedly charge and cast it, she could probably fire them continuously for a few minutes (30-35 beams) before getting too exhausted and needing time to recover.
Crunch/Fire Fang: Requires Physical Strength - 300 OM
(Roxanne usually uses this when shapeshifted. She can also do it in human form, but due to the human jaw not being as suited for biting it’d be less effective).
Simply put – Roxanne bites her opponent, usually with the powerful jaws of Mightyena or a similar Pokemon. She is also able to surround her teeth with little flames to use Fire Fang, but somehow this does not do any additional damage.
Thunderbolt: Requires Ranged Proficiency – 300 OM
Roxanne points her hand (or head, if in Pokemon form) at an opponent and almost instantaneously starts firing a continuous stream of lightning at them. While it’s hard to tell due to (harmless) lightning forking out from the actual attack the stream itself is only pencil-thick and thus requires good aim though it does move rather fast (around the speed of an arrow, NOT at speeds of regular electric energy) and thanks to its reach of up to ~20m before dissipating is decently accurate as well. Roxanne rapidly tires if using this attack excessively, after ca. 6 seconds of continuous usage she would feel very tired and needing to catch her breath. Furthermore due to the amount of concentration required to upkeep the attack Roxanne cannot move faster than at a walking pace while she casts it, and cannot use any other moves in conjunction with it.
Sunny Day – T1 Super Utility Move: Requires… Area Attack Proficiency? Nothing? – 600 OM
At the cost of 1 SP per turn Roxanne emits an odd aura from her body that creates a spherical area around her, about 30m in every direction, with her always in the centre (it moves along with her). Someone within that area would see clear skies and a warm sun even if it’s actually raining and/or night time. The dome holds out rain, snow etc. It doesn’t actually provide a tangible combat advantage to anyone, outside perhaps of averting reduced visibility due to bad weather or nighttime, and does not hinder moves that would somehow make use of daytime or weather.
