Mitsuki pushed himself to a feet with a groan, glancing back at what was previously an Hourglass. It had morphed, during the boy’s thoughts, into a fountain trickling gently. He glanced between the trio that had appeared nearby, each as different as the next. He studied them from a distance for a short while, the hooded man in particular.
The Shinobi considered his options. Perhaps one of them would make a good companion for whatever lay ahead. Or were they here for something different, something more dangerous to him? He sighed quietly to himself as he eyed the trio up. There were too many unknowns, caution would be the most suitably tactic to employ. His stomach roiled as a number of possibilities passed through his mind.
A incessant chirping broke the near silence, a noise all too familiar to the Shinobi.
“That’s.. Chidori..” Mitsuki spoke aloud, to no one in particular, as he approached the hooded man, “How did you come into possession of that blade, Red-san? That’s the Sword of Kusanagi, isn’t it? The blade of Sasuke-” The boy’s rambling fell interrupted by a woman, “I’m ready whenever you are, I guess. So unless you’re waiting for somebody or… something, I don’t know, we can just have at it.”
He grimaced, a challenge? Something predetermined by the sounds of it. Had he interrupted something? Regardless, his interest had been piqued by the appearance of the Uchiha’s blade. Mitsuki took a step back and waited with bated breath for what was to come.
