The heavy winds and sand filled air battered against Gilgamesh’s face, forcing him to close his eyes. His attention was drawn away from the Shadow above and towards the sound of the new combatant. The King waved his hand down, allowing the purple shield to dissipate and the shadow above him to drop. The Golden Portals shifted their attention to the source of this storm.
“One does not interrupt the King as he is carrying out an execution. Your head is next on the block.” The array of weaponry fired blindly in the direction of the new combatant. Though Gilgamesh could not see the results of his onslaught, the sound of his treasures piercing through the floor was enough satisfaction.
Gilgamesh’s smirk didn’t last long as the Ex-Enigma was now atop of him, distributing blows with precision and ferocity. Seemingly unaffected by the blinding storm, Tearen struck his palm against Gilgamesh’s chest. Surprised by the effect and suddenness of the buffet, Gilgamesh was sent flying into a marble column, destroying it as it ‘softened’ his fall. He groaned as he pushed off the marble rubble, the tempest dying down as he did so. The intruder, much to Gil’s dismay, was still in one piece and at the fray of the battle between Straizo and Tearen.
The Gilded King got onto his feet, wiping a trail of blood from his mouth before reentering the battle. The sight of Tearen brought Gilgamesh into a rage, none should dare lay a hand on him. Golden portals erupted above Gil’s head, with spears and swords to greet their targets. With a disdainful scoff he nodded, letting his armory descend onto the battle. With unreal speed and ability, Straizo grabbed a sword from mid air before casually ducking around the other blades. Most of the weaponry missed their mark, only slightly grazing the Elder Prime. However, Straizo’s attention was now upon Gilgamesh.
“I have waited too long for this. You will not interrupt this fight.” The approaching Mage spoke with an eerie calmness, but with determination with every step. He tossed the golden sword aside, it dissipating into golden dust as it left his hand. Gilgamesh sneered at the approaching brute, taking out a golden sword to meet him face on. The mage’s hand began to swirl with pure white energy as he approached and Gilgamesh brought up his blade. Straizo let out a punch, letting the onslaught of pure magic release from his hands.
Gilgamesh raised his purple barrier, yawning as he prepared to block the move, “You magi never learn.” His overconfidence didn’t last long as the bolts of energy pierced through his barrier and collided with his chest. The forced pushed Gilgamesh back a few feet and he grasped his chest in pain, heavily breathing. His armor was pierced with ease and left a large, painful burn on his shoulder. Gilgamesh grit his teeth as he opened up a large portal behind him, firing a quick array of weapons. Effortlessly, Straizo dodged the main attacks and dashed forward closing the gap between the two.
The mages fist closed around Gilgamesh’s throat before lifting him off the ground. The King’s airway tightened and he struggled to breathe. The mage’s fingers began to burn into his skin, while Gil’s eyelids began to feel more and more heavy. As his arms began to feel weaker, Gilgamesh panicked as he realized that the mage was siphoning off his energy. Gilgamesh raised his arm and pitifully slashed his sword into the mage’s side. With a grunt of pain, Straizo tossed him across the room like a rag doll. Gilgamesh slid across the floor before hitting the wall of the library, knocking the wind out of him. Gilgamesh attempted to get up, but he could only muster enough strength to get up on one knee. Gilgamesh opened one Gate of Babylon, letting a trident peak out of his vault.
Straizo turned around, confident that the King was finished. Gilgamesh let the weapon flash by, this time successfully embedding it into Straizo’s leg. The mage turned around to see Gilgamesh back upon one foot with a golden portal in front of him.
“You think that a dirty thief like yourself can steal my divine energy?” Gilgamesh reached into the portal to retrieve a weapon that looked like a black and red lance. The pieces rotated slowly at Gilgamesh used it to help him stand up. He raised the blade and the rotating pieces began to spin with higher frequency, emitting red flashes of energy and causing the rubble on the ground to shake.
Gilgamesh screamed at Straizo with hate, “There will be nothing left of your body when I am finished with it. Enuma Elish!”
