Permission to challenge granted. I can be the staff member who judges and presides over this fight if need be. Remember to be courteous to your opponent and please attempt to remain in contact to avoid any misunderstandings.
Once you have the right to a challenge, you must send a PM both to all intended targets and to a staff member stating your challenge, including the name of all intended targets or the base in question. You should also create a new OOC topic for the fight in Omniverse Discussion with the same information. Those involved then have 1 week to respond to the challenge OOC. Those challenged may request to delay the fight for another time or agree to start. However, once the challenge is made neither player may post IC or change locations until either both players have agreed to fight, or until both players have agreed to delay the fight for another time. If the defending player/s does not come online or respond within 1 week, they will forfeit any artefacts they are currently holding, or which are contained within their base. In the case of a non-fight, the attacking player may stage a short "artefact steal" event where they manage to steal the artefact without a real fight - given the non-participative nature of the defender, this should be done with respect towards their character and you should PM a staff member when this post has been made so that they can check there are no liberties taken.
A player who really does not wish to fight may appeal to staff, especially if they have been targeted by the same player more than once, but it is highly discouraged as a break of IC. Players with a bounty cannot turn down a fight unless they have a legitimate reason, such as having real-life commitments (in which case they should post in the Going Away thread or go into their 'Edit Profile' page and mark themselves as 'Away' with a date of their return.
Once the challenge has been acknowledged, players agree on when to start the fight. A player has up to eight OOC days from the initial challenge in order to prepare themselves for the fight, but it may not be delayed any longer unless agreed upon by both players. From the time the challenge is issued, no involved players may purchase items, powers, or anything else, nor move verses, unless ruled otherwise by the judge. Players may wish to post before the fight begins, setting up the fight in-character, but these posts will not count towards the fight itself.
