Hmm. Interesting only? If you don't feel the need to elaborate, I'll just leaf through your memories containing her.
If only to sate your curiosity and be done with this impediment of my mental freedom then so be-
A harsh, held back gasp rushed between the thief's teeth as he hadn't the time to even voice his thoughts before the man was digging through his mind, each pick of a memory just a blow to the front of his head. Flashes of Ezzy and the precious battle mrang through his mind, including his emotional states during each event. He disliked the feeling of being read like a book, as someone who kept many secrets over his origin. The thief almost growled through clenched teeth as her struggled to leave only the basis of his thoughts exposed to the intruding eyes, but clearly Ezrihel had plenty of experience circumventing those precautions. Luckily, the thief had enough willpower to keep the man only to recent events, or perhaps it was he himself who decided that the most recent events were all that he was interested in. He could hardly hear Ezrihel's words before he pulled back, only understanding a few phrases, his mind dizzy from the experience.
"I can... gladly inform you that I do not wish to undergo such an experience like that again in the future, so I hope you gained all the information you needed..." the thief rubbed his temples, hearing IRIS pipe in.
"Are you alright, Creator? Your body seemed to be responding in a frozen panic for a moment there, I do agree that such interactions with the incubus Ezrihel should be cautioned."
Demetri swore he heard a low chuckle from Ezrihel before the man spoke up once more in his mind.
Since you enjoy the presence of what effectively was cancerous to me, I've decided to recall her into the physical realm. If it pleases you, you may travel with her and take her across the various verses on your adventures when I'm not here. Aside from killing her or getting her killed, I care very little about what you and her decide to do together. Don't make me re-summon her.
Demetri gave a furrow of his brow at Ezrihel, clearly not liking his seemingly outgoing and positive tone. Though his parameters were fair and his voice gentle, Demetri could sense the underlying threats that lie beyond it. It gave him a bit of worry that the man seemed to pull off the charade better than anyone he had met before. No noble he knew could rely such a underlying tone so well hidden beneath kind words. The thief knew to be cautious, though unsure of exactly what goals this being had in mind.
The thief watched as Ezrihel gracefully began to summon his so called "cancerous" counterpart, weaving omnilium in the air like fabric, sowing together the reality that composed Ezzy. Demetri could never get over how amazing it was to summon items out of omnilium like thin air, and though he found the whole process to be wonderful, he couldn't help but look cautiously towards the man.
After a short while, the fine features of Miss Ezzy finally appeared, showing her soft, pale face, one that helped the thief relax as he turned and leaned his back against the wall, watching the rest of her fully form. He watched as Ezrihel beckoned her, then suddenly bumped her forehead with his palm, sending her falling to the ground.
Demetri's eyes narrowed as he burst forward with enough speed to catch the falling damsel, glaring as Ezrihel as he helped her stand up. The thief could not believe how much disregard the man had for his own secondary, waving his hand as if brushing off the woman from his sights. Even as he spoke as to not worry about the woman, Demetri could not help but feel a tinge of annoyance.
"Creator, besides the succubus being back, I have some news for you regarding some clients that have posted on our dataverse contact page."
"Let me know in a short while when things clear up, IRIS."
"Will do, Creator."
As Ezzy seemed to come to her senses she retaliated against her Prime creator, an action which Demetri did not hold against her as she seemed to try to take a stab at him, but clearly deprived of her previous abilities as a Prime, Ezrihel was far more powerful. Demetri grumbled under his breath for a minute as he turned away leaving them to their quarrel. Ezrihel seemed to enjoy making a fool out of her, as he simply took the weapon and dismantled it in front of her eyes. Ezzy cried out as it was almost completely turned back to omnilium, mourning her lost weapon. Demetri couldn't take much more of this pettiness.
"Enough." He spoke aloud, turning but Ezrihel had already started speaking to the bartender.
Demetri couldn't even be sure that he heard him as the man drank his milk and grabbed a travel bag from the bartender.
"Creator, i have designated enough omnilium for us to create a Recall and datacerse upling station for the guild. It will serve for us to have aquick way back home in case of emergency as well as a way to physically enter the dataverse if need be. I ahve also arranged some contracts with others in exchange for use of our terminal."
Demetri gave a sigh, deciding to respond to the information. "And are we to trust those that you have made contact with?"
"If they don't comply we can always hunt them down."
"Fair enough. Shall we make it in the cellar."
"If you so wish."
Demetri nodded as Ezrihel spoke up about getting a move on. Demetri held a hand out, motioning to the East.
"So, off to the Capital we go, I believe we must head East and follow the road to there, most likely encountering numerous wnaderers and merchants along the way. Perhaps we shall meet some friends, hmm?"
Demetri would walk along the road with his comapnions.
"Creator, may I have permission to examine and question Ezrihel, perhaps you can get a chance to speak with the, now secondary, succubus?" she teased at the end of her sentence.
"If you wish to do so, then go ahead."
A small part of the machine detached and hovered over to Ezrihel, taking a erch on his shoulder.
"So Mr. Ezrihel, why did you let yourself become a woman? After all, you seemed pretty against it, and you seem much more pleasant to look at while you are male! Were you a noble at all? I noticed that you dressed in rather nice clothing. " She then paused for e moment. "Why not tell me a bit about yourself, since I wasn't able to see what the succubus showed Creator when we first came to Camelot."
Demetri, on the other hand, went to see the distressed Ezzy. He walked calmly and decided to bring up a few questions.
" I understand that it seems to be hard to come to terms with so much, but who exactly are you if the memories you showed me before belonged to the man that stands before us? Are you perhaps twins, or two minds of the same body, or at least were of the same body..." Demetri trailed on. " I just want to be sure that no more mishaps occur in the future."
"Aye, we should be going soon, but there is one last task for us to compete here. I'm sure you both heard what IRIS spoke to me about, so I believe that we should establish that link before we depart."
Demetri would let them follow him to the cellar, where he would attempt to create a small station in which they can accomplish the tasks they wished to complete, as having a recall station would definitely allow easier retreat after a heist or job. The dataverse uplink would allow them access to the physical dataverse, expanding their reach. Perhaps further on they could acquire more ways to expand their realm, but for now, this would do.
They would focus on the intricate wiring and wondrous technology that made up the machine, Demetri using IRIS's display to help guide his mind, He was very much thankful to her for her new form, weaving over much of his body, with the snaking device that went up to his ear and right eye made for communications and displaying her HUD. Once finished, Demetri would head back up and dig through his pack, transferring much of his to his satchel, thanking the bartender for the supplies before heading outside.
