How to Not do a Roleplaying Site! [Rant] [M]

Alright guys, so after having a lovely discussion in the shoutbox this morning about staff and sites and systems including our death system, I started to talk about I site I once ran long long ago. Long story short, the two admins I had helping me out, who I had been working with for two years at this point, coup'detat'ed the hell out of me one day.

Through some various nefarious means, they got a hold of my site owner account, changed the email associated with it, then requested a password change, thus locking me out of the site owner account. Following up on their deadly assault, they then banned my RP accounts with the lovely reason of: "Being a bitchface"

As you can seen here, in Figure 1, the resident admins have banned me for the most notorious of crimes. I only wish I had the creativity to lie about this stuff.[/spoiler]

It all started because I, the site owner, and them, my admins, disagreed on several things that had happened in some RP threads we had been in. They liked to get me into topics, post once and dead lock me, which I didn't quite appreciate all too much, ooooor, they would make new accounts and heckle my characters and constantly try to fight me with the sole purpose of making me feel like shit because I just couldn't enjoy a casual thread. Heaven forbid I not want to fight six people all at once, amirite?

So, after I had found out about them using different proxies and shit to get around me noticing their IPs being the same, I was pretty mad. My admins where heckling the shit out of me in character, and I didn't quite like it too much, but it was just in character stuff, and they weren't breaking any rules by having more characters.

So in a Skype chat I asked them if they could seriously stop bothering the fuck out of me with shit like that, seeing as I was running the site without internet and through my parents divorce on top of school. Something about it just really rubbed me the wrong way, like they were trying to push me off the site that I had made just for 'thelulz'. Mind you, at the time, I was fourteen and the youngest out of this group of four people was twenty three years old then, nine years older than me.



Let that one just sink in for a bit.

Now with my accounts banned and no way to get back into my site, I was saltier than the god damned Dead Sea, as I hope you all would understand. I wandered aimlessly across the rocky landscape of RP sites, never really finding a home for about three years! That was... Until I came to Omniverse, my amazing new writing home, but that's besides the point (praise be to glorious creator).

Upon talking about the site in the shout box, I decided that I would go and see if it was still up. I mean, I had to do everything in the backpanel for them on multiple sites, yes, even the ones that they had created. I really don't know how these people breathe unassisted, so I really doubted that they could navigate their stubby fingers through the back panel from the site owner account and find how to delete the site.

I made Fall of Heaven in order to have a more open world than the various anime RPs I had tried out before hand, and they completely butchered the fuck out of that shit. They banned me and-- OMG WHAT IS THIS STAT SYSTEM THEY TRIED TO USE?! EW. IOWTLIKEIT.

Opening the site, I immediately go to the rules section. I'm fuckin dying to see what monstrosity they've made out of the incomplete systems I was working on before I got booted.

I click on the post about the strength stat.

The maximum strength that a character can have is +25, which is Demonic Strength, only achievable by full-blooded Demons. A line starting with the weakest Race at default strength and ending with the strongest would begin with Human and end with Demon. A full-blooded Demon begins with Demonic Strength, but cannot boost their strength any further without risking extreme muscle strain and eventually death. Demons cross-bred with another Race can only reach between +21 and +24. Non-Demonic beings are able to achieve +20. Cross-bred species, because of the mixture of blood, are all automatically +5 default strength. Cross-breeding the same species, (Human and Magical Being for example) does not produce +5 Strength.

Strength incorporates into both the Physical and Magical categories:
Physical: The attack power of punches and kicks
Magical: The attack power of magic spells

+21: Incalculable: In excess of 200 tons. Starter Demons.

+22: Incalculable: In excess of 300 tons. Junior Level Demons.

+23: Incalculable: In excess of 400 tons. Seasoned Demons.

+24: Incalculable: In excess of 500 tons. Veteran Demons.

+25: Demonic Strength. Master Demons. As strong as one can get.

(21-25: Reserved for Demons, but some exceptions can be made (Saiyans for example). These levels of strength are nothing short of God-like. Use your imagination. Physical attacks at these levels are catastrophic. Entire neighborhoods can be wiped out with just one punch; the damage behind attacks are enough to cause natural disasters and irreparable damage to the planet.)

+20: Mach-5 1,701.45 m / s

+21: Mach-6 2,041.74 m / s

+22: Mach-7 2,382.03 m / s

+23: Mach-8 2,722.32 m / s

+24: Mach-9 3 062.61 m / s

+25: Angelic Speed

WHAT ARE ALL THOSE NUMBERS. MY BRAIN IS FUCKING BLEEDING MAN.

Oh boy. Not to mention that you can have characters who are mixed species/hybrids. Guess what? You can have an angel/demon hybrid-- OH WAIT, those are restricted on the site. Well, okay, makes sense, don't want everyone to join as one and break the syste-- Oh, so only the two admins running the site are allowed to have that type of hybrid that can get 24 speed and 24 strength?

Gee willikers mista! Good thing I can trust the staff on here to not abuse-- Ooooooh waaaait, these are the same assholes who did this:

Restricted
- Compression Techniques (This is locked to Vigilante)
- DNA Tampering (This means anything that involves changing someones DNA, or their species. This is locked to Amaranth)
- Imagination Manifestation (Must be taught by Niala, NO ONE else may have this without it being TAUGHT!)
- Nanites (Locked to Vigilante)
- Time Manipulation (This is locked to Jr. Kane)
- Totipotency ( the ability to regenerate one’s entire body back from just one part of one’s body (even as small as a cell).) Locked to Darkman
- Omnikenisis (This is locked to Ghost!)
- Future Sight (This does NOT include precognition. This is simply the ability to basically 'god mode' knowledge wise of what people are planning or doing. This is locked to Niala!)

Hello god modding, I see you hiding in there! Come out here ya silly rascal!! All those characters that have those abilities locked to them? Oh yeah, those are characters owned by those two admins. You guys wanna hear their reasoning behind those powers being hella restricted?

These items could be banned or restricted for various reasons: illegal on the site, over-use, abuse issues, stealing issues, ect.

I mean, it seems like a pretty good reasoning at first, before you realize that they have a retarded amount of broken characters and they say that the rules don't apply to them, or otherwise write the rules around themselves.

Well I can see that they've been really struggling since they toppled my "crooked regime". Let's look at the very first one they posted.

So, here we are once again.

When Alec Kane, Himitsu, and myself, first created this site we did so with the idea in mind that there would be no restarts, no do-overs, and that we wouldn't abandon or give up on this place. Of course no one can ever predict real-life issues taking hold and fuckery starting up.

With that said and with Himitsu gone, Alec Kane and I are going to continue on with Heaven. Everyone who was a member is more than welcome to come back, and anyone looking to join is free to do so. Shinkai Shigai will be replaced soon to make room for a new area (or, if no one wants it it will be likely bombed into oblivion). Otherwise, no changes will be made.

Let me just explain something really quick. Himitsu is me (obvious, if you know who my alt account is). Shinkai Shigai was for all intents and purposes a verse that I spent six months of solid writing on. I created it from the ground up. I fleshed out each and every area, and made NPCs and quests and all these tiny nuances to make that world area breathe with life. It was the area that my player character controlled/held dominion over. I even wrote a saga length history for the area.

It was also the only faction/area that openly opposed the factions that the other two admins controlled.

Let's just get this clear, after they banned me, they killed my character (perma death system), went to my area, pretty much trash talked me through in-character means, and then blew my entire verse up.

Then added like, what, six areas? OH NO, WAIT, THEY ADDED IN EIGHT AREAS!

They're all urban gunge based areas too. This is the equivalent of 7/8 verses on here being either the ashen steppes or the lower tiers of Coruscant, and the one verse that looks like Camelot is the one that gets bombed and replaced by a cheesy ass ninja village.

I get the feeling that these guys just can't get over Naruto. I met these fuckers on a Naruto site, (Naruto Saga, one of our affiliates, to be exact) and on every site they run they force ninja related shit onto it, even if it didn't fit the aesthetic of the site or make any sense universe wise.

All in all, this shit is hilarious, but simultaneously depressing as all fuckin' get-out. This was a site I spent time crafting and creating and playing with and on. It was my child once, and I seriously feel as though they took my idea and violently raped it with a spiked dildo before they wiped their asses with it.
