alright, uh... i'll just say it like this then.

pretend that life is in the shape of a wind-up clock. you know, the one's that you put a key in and turn and it makes that annoying ticking noise that gets my brother so riled up? usually colored red and gives everyone the irresistible urge to smash it? that kind of clock.

now, what do most people do with clocks when they go to sleep? they usually rewind it to a particular time for it ring, right? well, let's pretend that, instead of setting your alarm, it makes it morning again, for instance. turning a key makes the day come back, you know? now, let's also pretend that you still can't avoid the alarm thingy, so before you get out of bed, you have to get rid of the alarm.

now this is where frisk comes in. frisk is the person determining how to get rid of the alarm. does she wait for it to stop on its own? does she lightly tap on it to turn it off. does she slam her fist on it?

does she take a hammer and break it entirely?

now, let's ALSO pretend that these clocks are all interconnected. it isn't ONE clock, but, like, HUNDREDS of clocks, all being messed with at the same time. some clocks get tapped, others get punched, some are never touched, but none get smashed. this is because smashing one clock ends up smashing the others and basically breaks all the clocks.

frisk broke a clock, and now all the clocks are broken, and now i'm here.
