Oh wow, I guess that it makes sense you would come from a timeline where that didn't happen if you didn't know Toriel.
Yeah, it was the angel, he shattered the barrier and set everyone free. I helped a little in convincing him to do it, but it was mostly on him. I'm not sure if you ever encountered him, he's that talking flower guy.
But yeah, all monster kind have been living on the surface for months. You and I are actually pretty good friends in that timeline. I don't know how well we knew each other in your's.
