Madotsuki nodded in reply, watching as Hiro deactivated the hologram. 'Of course I have a couple ideas.' She had to admit, the gun sounded mighty impressive, although she had something more... electrical in mind.
The samurai left to take his comm call, and the dreamer immediately went to sketching various weapon designs. Among the various pictures were mini-laserguns, booby traps, like oil slicks and EMPs, special types of tires that were designed to destroy others tires when they bumped up against each other, among other things.
She stared at the screen for a minute before realizing that she wasn't sure what kind of frame she wanted. She wasn't very familiar with how these kinds of cars would work, and she doubted her own estimate could do it justice. Then again, there were some people who owed her a favor.
Seeing that the hacker was still away, she whipped out her MDD and started texting a certain someone she knew that could possibly have a frame on hand.
"Crusher? I need a favor. You happen to have a car frame I can use?"
"I'm sure the boys down in Tier 7 can hook you up with one."
"Make sure it's not one of those shoddy ones-- it needs to take a hit."
"We'll see what we can do. Why do you need one?"
"You heard of the F-Zero races in Tier 4?"
"Say no more. Where do you want it?"
"I'm actually not sure where we'll be working at. I'll let you know when I find out."

It didn't take her too long to receive her frame when she located the garage. It looked a little rusted, but it appeared sturdy enough to work. With a "thank you", she started rolling it towards the workspace. Hiro was waiting for her at the other end, and he asked her if she knew what "Transformers" was. She tilted her head in confusion. 'I can't say I ever heard about that,' she answered, wheeling the frame into view.
Hiro stared back at her, dumbfounded. "You seriously don't know what 'Transformers' is? At all?" He ran his hand along the frame. "Did you not have TV back in your world?"
'I did, but...' She rolled out her weapon schematics onto one of the tables, picked up a guide on building engines, and returned to the frame. 'my cable never worked.' She kicked one of the tires gently, examining it. 'I had a Famicom though.'
"Well, then." He pulled out the tools necessary for the engine block and went to work. "So you played Mario Bros.? Oh, can you tighten the screws on the other side?"
Using the screwdriver, she tightened the screws as the hacker fitted a section of the engine into place. 'I heard of it, but I don't remember playing it. I only had NASU."
"Never heard of it. Is it any good?" One look at her face confirmed that it wasn't all that great. "What a shame. You haven't had a childhood unless you played Mario. Did no one else there have it?"
'There was no one else.'
"At all?"
'No one.'
"In the entire town?"
'No. One.'
Things were silent for a while, save for the typical sounds of construction. Hiro only dared to speak again once the inner workings had been made. "So, anyway, I was thinking that we could make this like a Transformer."
'I still don't know what that is,' she retorted, welding a tire shredder to one of the hubcaps.
"It's like a vehicle that turns into a robot."
She froze in the middle of installing the steering wheel. 'A... robot?' Typically, robots never really got along with her-- the Miku bot, the horde down in Tier 7, the Kaito prototype... However, this one wouldn't be sentient.
"Don't tell me you don't know what a robot is."
'I do, it's just... nevermind. If you can do it, I'm up for it. How exactly would you do this?' Looking at the frame, the dreamer didn't understand how it possibly morph into a humanoid shape. Unless, of course, they were thinking of two totally different machines.
