Departing Ways

It took two hours to reach the front gate of Darkshire from the fork in the road. The total hours it took them was about six due to three hours the McFarland Ranch was from the signs showing direction where the two villages were at. Darkshire's gateway had a good size of men and women keeping guard at the front entrance. They block the path and made the horse with the wagon to come to a halt. The commander stands in the center of the guards at the front of the wagon. Ash and John become completely surrounded by the garrison which they gave the strangers with unwelcoming looks. "You know what, I'm getting second thoughts about this. What about we turn around and just head back to the ranch. I don't think these people aren't going to give us a welcome party." whispered Ash to John which the farmer tries to remain calm.

"Quiet you!" yelled the commander with a growl which made Ash sit up straight fast with a funny grin showing his teeth trying to be normal. "Gentlemen, I request you to step out of the wagon and get up against the village's wall for inspection!" barked the commander which he looked to be in his late 40's with long brown hear and his beard style was a handlebar with a chin puff also brown. The man's face looked like he's been through many things with Darkshire. From the commander's order, They get off the wagon then get escorted by two guards to the wall. "You, the one with the weird hand, take off your holster that is holding your weapon and your hand!" commanded one of the guards at Ash.

"Ok then. Geez Mr. bossy," responded Ash taking off his holster and drops it on the ground also along with his metal hand. After what Ash said, pushed the guard's temper and shoves the evil dead slayer to the wall really hard. This makes a oof come out of Ash while they began inspecting. One of them pats near Ash's crotch which makes him say "Woah, easy there on the stallion tough guy!" said Ash which made the guard shove Ash again into the wall but harder this time. After a minute of being checked at the wall, they are now standing between two guards keeping watch of Ash and John. One of the guards away from them, picks ups up Ash's hand and his shotgun which Ash noticed looking behind him a bit.

"Hay don't touch those! Your primitive intellect could break something!" said Ash annoyed about his gear being touched. After what he said, he gets hit in the back from the wooden part of the spear that a guard on his side was holding which made Ash get on his knees. One guard comes from the wagon they were inspecting and salutes to the commander. In response, the commander salutes back then says "Report."

"The cargo they carry is just only survival gear and a few weapons." reported the guard as most of them were finishing inspecting the wagon. "Weapons huh?" said the commander in a curious way. He walks over to where Ash and John are being kept then asks them "My guards have discover some weapons. Care to explain that?" The imitation that the commander had made John fear that he will probably won't listen to the truth. "W-well uh w-we needed something to defend o-ourselves from anything i-in the P-pale Moors." responded john shaking in his boots. The commander sniffs the two of them which made Ash give off weird face what he was doing to them.

"Hm? The two of you don't have any weird pheromone and smell like humans. Alright, you should be good then." said the commander walking away from them and the guards done with inspection which Ash and John were good to go. They get released and Ash obtains his stuff again, putting on his holster with his shotgun also his hand. John and Ash get back on the wagon again moving the horse ropes for the horse to starting going. The guards opened the gates by raising it and letting them through. After they entered pass the stone wall, the guards shut the gate behind them.
