Powers & Proficiencies - You don't need to explain what these are going to be used for as we already know, how you want to role play it is up to you, as long as you stay within the rules.
I am also going to suggest that you take a look at how some other joining apps are formatted. as well as go through This thread. I feel like you're a little mixed up in what Proficiencies/powers/moves are.
