As he continued his trek towards the area he had as his 'home' but was more of a base of operations, Matthew noticed something that was curious. A vendor that was set up on the street near his home. Upon approaching the colorful booth that the vendor occupied he began to browse the wares of the individual, only to notice something about the items that were possessed by the individual. Each and every last one of these items were pieces from his home, or skillfully made replicas that he couldn't tell apart. One item in particular caught his eye, one that could prove invaluable if it did what it was supposed to do. The item in question was a black gauntlet that had once been part of the costume of the "Insider" and if Matthew was right about it, could discharge blasts of willpower out of it. It was certainly something that he wanted added to his equipment.
Examining the object, he looked it over. It certainly seemed like it had the same capabilities of the Insider's Will Blaster.
"Is this the genuine article?" Matthew asked the lady that was running the stand today.
"Why yes. A kind old man donated it to us, though his name escapes me presently. Why, are you interested?" She asked.
"It's something from where I was taken from, a piece of home. Of course I'm interested."
Given he needed the equipment anyway, he planned on paying the price to acquire the item for himself. A piece of equipment such as that could be useful and more importantly could lead to him eventually being able to create a Green Lantern Ring, or similar device for himself. After all they used the same energy source, so how hard could it be for him to accomplish that task with it? Not very, if he worked at it hard.
