Arrival of Rogues
#4
The next morning, Mick groggily awakens, not entirely remembering last night. There's a small nightstand, with a black bowler hat on it. Remembering just how he got it, Mick considers picking it up, before inevitably opting against it. His goggles and earpiece are also nearby it, which he quickly takes and re-equips. There's a small bathroom, and a table. Leaving his room, Mick calls the Rebellion, to see who's awake.

"Hey...Anyone awake...?" Mick asks, sounding somewhat tired.

"Everyone is." Grant responds. "You're a bit late to be waking up. The mission was to start this MORNING. It's 1 o' clock."

"The mission...I forgot." Rory says.

"Of course you did." LaRoque responds.

"You were to be going undercover and infiltrating a Coruscant police station..." Cassie chimes in.

"Guessing I'm gonna need a uniform, then...?" the arsonist inquires.

"You've seen what Stormtroopers look like..." Grant says. "You're a Prime...Summon a uniform, change in your hotel room, and move out."

So that's what Mick does. Heading back into his hotel room, he takes 10 minutes to summon a suit and helmet, and another 5 for an empty gun. He then proceeds to leave the hotel. The owner greets him somewhat nervously as he leaves, which was to be understood - he doesn't know the plan, and currently a group of Rebels has a base directly underneath his feet.

As he walks, Mick takes a look around. Nothing of much interest. A multitude of shops dot the streets. Taking a turn at the corner, Mick notes some graffiti on the wall, written in black paint, reading simply:

"IT'S ME!"

Hmm...

Continuing to walk, Mick continues to survey the area. The roads are, as usual, congested with vehicles to the point of being unusable. Should the need to head to the other side of the street present itself, he'd surely have to find another way. Another corner presents itself, and from there, Mick notes the elevator. Approaching it, he prepares to head into the higher tiers.

In the meantime, in the Rebel base, Grant and Cassie are waiting for a report to come in from either of the Rebels they sent on this operation. Nothing yet.

"So..." Grant says. "This Mick Rory guy...Are you sure we can trust him?"

"It wasn't hard to convince him to do that job for us. If he was an immediate threat, I'd know." Cassie says.

"His bounty displayed that he assaulted two Stormtroopers unprovoked. And they went down." Jon states, leaning back. "If he's capable of downing two Stormtroopers and walking off any shots they got off on him...Who knows what he could do if he goes hostile."

Just as Cassie opens his mouth, he continues. "Of course...Then again...That's not to say he would be able to handle all of us at once." the Rebel leader states. "And, if it got to that point..."

He gets up, looking away from her for a few seconds. He brushes the hair over his left eye away from his face. Before Mallis could question, Grant turns back, his left eye being void of color, just pure white. His scar briefly flashes a similar white. Cassie goes wide-eyed, never having seen the leader's left eye unconcealed before. Jon remains with a straight face.

"He'd know just why I lead our little group."

The Rebel recruiter is not quite sure what to think. He smirks, his hair going back into it's original position.

"Relax..." he states. "It's the Omniverse. People with power...Is nothing new."

She turns towards the door, then to him, then to the door again...

"...I guess you have a point..." Cassie says. "I just...Didn't expect that..."

"This is the one place where expectations are meaningless." Grant says.

"...I guess you're right..." Mallis responds.

He sits back down, and they continue waiting for a status update.
