The ex-king of the Crystal Empire looked around the lush and green fields of Camelot as he trotted along. This place was certainly beautiful. As the sun shined he looked around the place. It wasn't miserably hot, unlike the Endless Dunes had been. Certainly this place had similarities to the Crystal Empire even if the buildings weren't made of crystal like he'd expected. Of course with the lush crops and beautiful landscape they didn't need to be made out of crystal. There was no blizzard raging that threatened to destroy this place of course. Given this place was peaceful, under other circumstances he could see himself potentially making a home here.
Had he not been brought here against his will by Omni, King Sombra might have enjoyed the place better. The only bright size was that he was not frozen under ice. Here he was going to begin practicing with the spells that he knew in order that he could master them. Defeating his enemies required he achieve a power level beyond what he currently had. As he saw the ruins of nearby castles and completed ones in the area, King Sombra began to smile. The place was lovely and certainly had it's charm. Of course he knew he couldn't just admire the scenery. Survival meant he couldn't waste his time on anything like that. As weak as he was he needed to ensure his chances of survival were the maximum possible.
"Weakness like mine can't be allowed."
He'd lift his horn. "SYOOUAKAEN!" He'd cast a spell meant to create an earth quake. But nothing would happen whatsoever. Again his magic failed? Why was his magic not working? It was something he didn't comprehend. There was magic in the air but he didn't know what kind of magic it was. It was certainly different from the magic he had back home in the Crystal Empire. At least now he was no longer suffering heat stroke or swollen hooves because he'd managed to treat them with his magic. It had been pretty touch and go for a bit, but he'd succeeded.
