During my final college campaign of 3.5 D&D, I played a Warmage/Dragon Disciple. Through a storyline in the campaign, I became able to stack my DD levels with my Warmage levels for the purpose of determining what spells I could cast.
So long story short, I played a character who became a half-dragon (which were already stupid powerful physically... I had an AC near 40, an HP in the upper 200s, and could dish out an absurd amount of damage). On top of being physically dominating, he could also cast spells as a level 20 warmage. Did I mention he had the feats that let you double the size and strength of your spells? Yea. He could solo dragons.
