Tarius watched intently as Deimōs summoned his staff. He thought it curious that someone as large as Deimōs would be adept in the magical arts; it looked as if Deimōs could just as easily crush someone between his hands. He also noted the strange purple appearance of the magic, wondering where it originated and what Deimōs could do with it.
"I see you make use of both physical prowess and magic, just as I do," Tarius said as he channeled bright yellow lightning between his hands. He clapped his hands together, watching as the lightning diffused along his armor. Tarius returned his gaze to the other two, saying, "Give me a moment to summon my weapon." He formed the image of the Dragonslayer Spear in his mind, and within a few minutes held the giant golden spear by his side.
Upon seeing the spear, Deimōs grinned and joked, "So... You also like rods?" Tarius glanced at Deimōs, misunderstanding the innuendo, and retorted, "What? No, this is a spear. Anyways, I haven't shown you my other trick." As he said this he twirled his spear around so that the blade stood only inches away from the ground. He chuckled and grinned as he planned his display. He slammed the spear into the ground and used his immense speed to seemingly vanish before the eyes of Nanako and Deimōs. They watched his abandoned spear for a few seconds before he finally asked from behind them, "Why are you two still staring at my spear? I'm right here." He laughed as Deimōs seemed confused by his sudden disappearance.
Returning to his spear Tarius asked Deimōs, "I noticed that your sparks were purple, what sort of magic have you been trained in?"
