Hours have passed and Guu was still dancing that same dance. However, that all changed when she was randomly pelted with a rotten tomato, launched by a passing by merchant heading towards the east. Upon impact, Guu topples over and lands flat on the ground. After a few seconds against the bright white floor, she began to regain her thoughts.
How long had she been out? She climbed to a sitting position. Lifting her arm up, she shifted the shape of the limb to fit the exact curvature of her face then with one swift motion wiped her face clean of the tomato. Then she shifted the stumps of her hands into a comb, and ran it through her hair to get anything remaining out.
Feeling a bit more confidence, she climbed to her feet. She began to think hard on random thoughts. She thought about meeting Omni, she thought about life in the Jungle, she thought about Hare, and as these thoughts passed through her head, she took a step forward. The little leg of hers originally didn't want to move, and for the first few steps she couldn't help but stop thinking for a second to let the movement process.
Her thoughts turned to the time she left. Saying goodbye to Hare one last time, how being here pretty much ensured she was never going to see him again, the thought saddened her. But before she could beat herself up about it, she noticed she took 5 steps without even having to think about it. She tried to recreate the freak accident, but once again, her legs wouldn't budge.
Well, some sign of progress at least.
