Yuuka was beginning to wonder if these humans were trying to kill her. (Tough luck there, weren't they all supposed to be immortal here?)
First off, the cute girl took off the majority of her clothes. Though Yuuka barely got to have a look before she was ushered into the car, it was still a cute outfit. At this point it would be better to keep her distance, though. If she needed to rely on someone, flirting was a bad idea. Well. Bad idea until they proved themselves, anyway.
Being strapped into the car was an experience. If it weren't for the ease at which the mechanism disengaged, Yuuka would have seriously considered bailing on the whole thing the moment she was placed in restraints. She trusted this vehicle about as far as she could throw it. And considering how early it was, that wasn't too far. Maybe if she were feeling better, she'd be able to throw it farther and henceforth have a better opinion of it. But she digressed.
She rapidly figured out why the restraints were in place once the car started.
Oh.
...Perhaps mankind was not meant to speed this much.
Yuuka dug her fingernails deep into wherever was convenient. She looked partially distressed and partially disgusted with their speed. When she realized this, she tried to emphasize the latter. Going at a speed faster than walking was absolutely foreign to her. Though usually something death-defying would be exhilarating to the youkai, this seemed a bit excessive in the speed department. Unfortunately, despite her best efforts to mentally will the car to slow down, it retained its speed. She settled on just closing her eyes as they drove.
She half-payed attention as Fury retold his story. America was something she was vaguely familiar with, but it was a bit too new for her to be totally sure on it. The other place here seemed a bit more interesting, since she could actually go. But he had said "lower layers", implying the place was underground. So, not a good place for gardening. Sad. Yuuka could use somewhere to hole up for a while and get her bearings around here, but neither this "Coruscant", here, nor this "Pale Moors" place they were going seemed suitable.
When he finished his little story time, Yuuka took her cue. "Right. As for me, I live in Gensokyo. Since you're from the Outside, I guess I should explain further. It broke off from the human world in Meiji 18- Oh, 1885 to you. Anyway, it's where things the Outside World doesn't believe in or forgot about go, like deities, ghosts, fairies, and, of course, youkai. Not much comes in from the outside, and even less leaves once it gets there. I've lived there since it was established, so about 130 years now. Time does fly, though. It seems like just yesterday I was making my own incidents. There isn't much consistency within its residents, it's a little small, and there are lots of rules, but it's a place to be. And I don't think they'd let me out even if I asked really nicely anyway." Yuuka chuckled at this last addition. "But now I'm here! So that's about all I have."
Some time during her little exposition-fest, Yuuka had opened her eyes and started staring into the distance. At least her mildly pleased smile had come back as she was reminiscing on the whole thing. She could have started much earlier than Gensokyo, of course. But one could only condense so much history and explanation into a bite sized chunk before most humans got bored with you. And with reason, anyway- personal narrative time was dull as hell when you weren't interested in people. She just hoped the humans would have something better than generic stories to keep her busy on the way there. Yuuka bored far too easily for those to keep her interested for long.
