Return of the King!?
#3
Quote:Thor as - Golden Guards [Secondary Enemies]

Most guards were still loyal to King Gilgamesh, so when this blonde rebel came around and started flashing the old king’s face all over the place it didn’t surprise the elite guards that Jafar wanted them to go take care of it. They were created and trained specifically to hunt primes and dangerous secondaries and that’s what they were going to do. They split into pairs and started to patrol the city by sections hoping to find the would be returning king. No one really knew whether the golden guards were flesh and blood or machine, except for Jafar, and that didn’t bother the golden guards at all. Unlike all the primes and most secondaries, they had no memories of a previous life. This was all they knew at they knew it well. When the two saw the shape of a person hiding in alley the had hoped it would be their target. They would break him like they had broken so many other primes, and then they would take him to Jafar to be ‘Enlightened’ or he would be banished. The thought of it made their whole bodies bubble in excitement. The rushed over and broke the barrels he was hiding behind. The golden haired prime flung himself away from their blades, farther down the alley, and pulled a large cross from his back. The two guards taunted their target as they approached until finally the prime reacted.

Ripping of the bandages to reveal his kingly face, and unsnapping his cross to reveal the weapons within. The guards launched themselves back down the alley just in time to dive around the corners as the first bullets began to ding off their armor. They listened to the bullets whiz by them out of the alley. With all that lead up they had been expecting a superior maneuver. Many primes could level a city block with the right move if they wanted to, but the attacks whizzing past them were just normal bullets. Yes, there were a lot of bullets but only bullets of the highest caliber could even think about damaging their precious golden armor and with the armor’s magical tendency to repair itself even as it is receiving damage they had nothing to fear. The Golden Guards looked at each other, having come to the same conclusion, and noded. They stood and walked toward the would be king. They spoke of the shrill and constant dinging of bullets bouncing off of armor.

“If this is the best you can do, then not only are you not Gilgamesh, you aren’t even a threat.”

The self proclaimed Gilgamesh spun the cross around and fired it into the guard that had spoken. The rocket knocked him out of the alley. Then the would be king fled. The other Golden Guard followed, explosion at his back. His comrade would follow but it would take him some time to recover. For now it was just him and the prime. They had been cocky. Now it was time to get serious. The Golden Guard pulled a mask down over his eyes. The second mask was not made of gold like the first, but of glass, it was this frailness that kept the golden guards from wearing it all of the time. Despite its unfortunate composition the mask was a useful tool when fighting primes, as it gave the wearer insight into his opponents abilities. He could see now that this primes was just dripping in ranged attacks. The Golden Guard would need to close the distance, but if he could do that this fight would be over very quickly. From what he saw the prime was nearly useless in melee combat.
