IT'S THE FINALE update:
Current Word Count: I'm getting two different results from Wordcounter.net and the Omniverse's built-in word counter, and they're REALLY different from each other - I'll put them both here, and some kind of actual authority can decide which one's valid.
Omniverse Word Count: 7747
Wordcounter Word Count: 6971

If somebody with the authority to do so could look over The Search for the Macguffin and decide whether or not I am deserving of a grape-flavoured (purple) Chaos Emerald, that would be lovely. Thank you~
