I don't mind Dean being held while Dean is away and continued to be used as an NPC in whatever fashion. But attaching his stats is a no-go unless it's just for storyline fodder or versus NPCs. If he's not here himself, he doesn't contribute in any way.

I think that's what you meant ... but, yeah!
