Quote:Continued from Fiddle De Chocobo
It had been quite some time since Gin last set foot in Darkshire for the first time. It hadn't been the most pleasant first experience in the Omniverse for him, though it was better than being put into a battle royale in Camelot against his wishes. A familiar feeling washed over him as he and Tonic navigated the streets: someone was watching him. Gin looked over his shoulder, but saw nothing out of the ordinary.
"Wark?" Tonic squawked in concern, noticing his owner's uneasiness.
"Huh? Oh, it's nothing. Just...a weird feeling" Gin said, turning his sight back to the road ahead. "What the hell is up with this place?" Gin thought, starting to pick up his pace.
"Are you actually scared, Gin? You of all people?" came a female voice.
Gin stopped and quickly looked around for the source of the voice, but not a soul was in sight. "Tonic, did you hear that?" he asked his feathered companion.
Tonic simply shook his head and looked at his master in confusion, "Wark wark? {Are you sure you're fine, Gin?}" he said.
"Y-Yeah, let's just get to the tent." Gin said, rubbing his head. His headache had come back again, even worse than before. Tonic gestured for Gin to ride on its back, to which Gin obliged. He really did not feel like walking with this headache right now.

Meanwhile on a rooftop far away from the two heroes, a white-haired boy peered at them through a pair binoculars. The boy was about Gin's age, and wore a black jacket with a red shirt underneath. He lowered the binoculars, which revealed a pair of golden eyes. "There you are, I knew you'd be back eventually" the boy said, talking to himself, "After all, of all people in this universe, I'm the one that knows you the best." The boy stood up on the aged roof, and smiled. "Enjoy your last adventure Gin, because I'm coming for you."

Gin and Tonic stepped into the registration tent and went through the motions of signing up, well Gin did anyway. There he found out the poster he saw was actually a help wanted sign and not an advertisement like he had originally thought, evidently they needed help for something big happening in the Danteverse. Seeing the opportunity for adventure, Gin took it anyway. After he finished signing the forms, he was quickly rushed to the portal by the staff, and sent in.
