Weiss dashed forward, hoping to end this with one quick slash, even as his reset comment processed in her head. Did he mean the SAVE function Chara had shown her? That had to be it, right?
The question was... how did he know about it?
"To be blunt, it makes it kind of hard for me to give it my all..." Sans continued, a trio of bones missing the genocidal huntress by mere inches as she bobbed and weaved towards the Short fighter.
You don't know how this feels, either.
"...Or is that just a poor excuse for being lazy?"
Knowing you've killed so many people, all for your own desires, your own friends…
Weiss closed in on Sans with a swift lunge, and the skeleton was forced to duck, dive, weave and jump away from a barrage of slashes and stabs. Weiss didn't bother to aim for vital areas anymore - all she wanted to do was hit him, somewhere, just once
Because you owe them that much, because you're willing to trade away everything you are for them.
A tear stung Weiss's face, as her smile broke, even as she lunged for Sans's retreating form. she felt the nearly weightless feeling of her blade striking cotton as a tiny hole was in the Skeleton's sweating T-shirt.
Only to be bowled over by another gaster blaster from behind, knocking her off her feet and onto her knees.
Weiss struggled to catch Myrtenaster, the weapon slipping from her hand as she tripped, Catching the weapon in a swift roll back onto her feet. Sans took the opportunity to fling another barrage of bones at the injured warrior, and the Ivory-haired woman's brow furrowed in concentration as she carefully parried each bone away with her rapier.
...Or is that just a poor excuse to be completely selfish?
"Hell if I know"
Hell if I know
Weiss thumbed Myrtenaster's chamber controls, and the familiar sound so akin to bicycle spokes whirred even as she dodged to the right, the white beams missing her by inches.
Weiss took a deep breath. Sans was fighting hard - so hard - for his life, for his race, for his own family... and here she was, ready to take that all away...
Weiss gripped her blade tighter.
No, she'd already taken that away. she'd already done so much that couldn't be taken back.
"All I know is, seeing what comes next..."
all I know is, after I've come so far…
Weiss ran forward once again, as Sans ducked to the right to avoid the expected slash.
It never came, as a red haze covered the blade.
"I can't afford not to care anymore."
I won’t let this all be for nothing.
Weiss struck out with a fast kick to Sans midsection, and the skeleton skipped back just as swiftly. Lunging forward off her back foot, the murderous huntress’s heels tapped against the ground like a machine gun, as she pushed her opponent to the back of the hall, pushing the skeleton to the corner of the room with a wall of steel.
Weiss realized that now, the same enemy that had once smoothly dodged past every slash without missing a beat, with minimal effort, was now being forced to sweat as he was pushed back, giving Weiss control of the skirmish.
Weiss continued her attack, pushing and pushing, until Sans was knocked towards the corner of the hall. Weiss noticed his eyes shift ever so slightly to the right, and pushed her body to it’s limit as she lunged forward with blinding speed, the scarlet blade just missing Sans as his grinning face passed right by her shoulder.
Weiss grinned, as her foot shifted, and her thrust was coupled with an attack to her right - aimed, not at the swiftly retreating skeleton, but at the pillar he’d been standing ever so close to, and as Weiss’s blade struck the offending pillar, the world exploded around the two, as gold-painted rock and dust showered the pair in a yellow cloud.
Weiss winced as she felt the backblast of her own attack hit her, shards of rock cutting her cheek, but the move had hopefully caught her opponent off-guard.
Weiss grinned with a new energy, feeling a sudden smile creep on her face as something unfamiliar filled her. Was she starting to find this… fun?
Quickly surveying the room as the dust cleared, Weiss managed to spy her slippery opponent.
It was a new achievement for the Alabaster warrior. She’d never seen a skeleton run out of breath before.
