“Then don’t worry, I’ll do it for you.”
Carmelita ducked backwards, avoiding the heavy swing that would have crushed her ribs, and fired another charged shot at Marcus. As the cyborg growled at losing his sight, Carmelita fired steadily. Ten shots flew, dead centre in Marcus’s chest. The cyborg stumbled as sight began to return, but he was now struggling to pull himself off the floor. The shock pistol’s electricity had built up, and his circuits were now half-useless from the disruptive charges sparking inside him. Carmelita made to fire the remaining shots when the container that had fallen from the ceiling began to shift, its precarious position slowly descending towards where the cyborg lay.
“No!”
The metal box crashed down. Fortunately for Marcus, it didn’t crush him completely, but the blunt edge tore through his thighs, and his legs were separated from his torso. Carmelita stood in shock, hand over her mouth.
“Mierda…”
Marcus didn’t even seem to notice, still trying to pull himself up to fight Carmelita. His grunts of frustration led Carmelita to knock him unconscious, firing at him until his circuits finally couldn't take it anymore. She cuffed his hands behind his back, not that that would stop him if she didn’t keep him unconscious for the ride back.
There was something disturbing about the fact she had to do the same for the disembodied legs that kept trying to kick her.

Carmelita hauled Marus to her squad car, putting his legs in the boot and his unconscious body in the back seat. She fired her shock pistol again, making sure he wouldn’t wake up, before turning back to the warehouse they’d been fighting in and wincing at the smell of smoke and water.
“Another day, another pile of paperwork.”
She sighed and drove away.
